I honestly don't feel sorry for many of these names: Ruggs, Burress, Gordon and Manziel. They had their chance at millions, fame and to play a sport they love and threw it away. I know many on this board would give their left nut or ovaries to play professional football as a career.

Yep that one stung for awhile. The way many felt when Goff got traded is how this ol boy felt throughout Todds downfall and departure. To me he's the one I think about when talking about the Rams turning things around. I still rock my TG jersey on game days and I like to watch his 2017-18 highlights from time to time. Miss that guy and it's a damn shame he isn't still in horns.

We never reach Super Bowl 53 without him. But I tend to think Goff is still here if Gurley was still rolling and Stafford is a Indianapolis Colt.....

Knees are a bitch! Todd had everything else but those. I had hope the Rams would pick him up before the play offs just for his QB protection skills. Just to get him a ring.

Hopefully he’s invested well and not wasting his cash.

Not to insult the Honolulu Blues ... whatever the fuck that is ... but this is kind of a Goofy-list.

Couple guys had injuries or physical health issues that prevented them from playing, or decreased their skills. Couple with mental (Young) or maturity (Manziel) issues that prevented them from displaying any football talent they may have possessed. Couple with substance abuse issues that prevented them from continuing their careers.

Finally a few were Self-Inflicted "Wounds" ... Vick chose to torture and kill dogs ... Ruggs chose to get drunk and speed ... and Burress was the most literal of this group, as he literally shot himself in the leg.

I take it back. It's not a Goofy-list. It's a Dopey-list

From 2nd in MVP voting to mysteriously missing the Super Bowl. Tragic.

Are we still calling that mysterious? It was pretty clear why he wasn't playing. The way the rest of his career panned out answered that question - he had a chronic and debilitating knee injury that made him completely ineffective.

Easily Titus Young because the guy is seriously mentally ill. That always struck a chord with me.

I remember him as a Ram. Tea Mason & Bailey. Those are 3 rams. I know there is more.

Crazy back in the day Inthiught ED29 was going to get shot dead by police. He was in Belmont Shore Bay drive. He was with a woman. I think she was the crazy one,but there was a lot of police involved?

Bo Jackson is #2 behind Gurley for me. That was sad.

Yeah. Bo Jackson is another. Bo Jackson was a household name…, then BAM! His injury.

Robert Edwards NE, in 1998 gained 1,100 yards as a rookie, then blew out his knee at the Pro Bowl playing beach flag football. He didn’t get back on the field until 2002. Only played 12 more games. I remember this was a sad story when it happened.

Is Baker Mayfield destined for this list? Cam Newton fell off a cliff at 30, which seemed sudden.

I still wonder what the heck happened to Todd Gurley's knee. Was it a degenerative thing? Chronic pain? Obviously it wasn't an ACL, like he had in college. Did the truth ever come out?
