Yeah, there are some strange names on that list.

It sucks that Gurley couldn't end his career on his terms. That raw talent, especially watching him as a rookie, blow past defensive backs, speed to beat linebackers to the edge, top receiver and pass blocker too. Youthful exuberance, gravity defying "Gurdles". Would've been a HOFer, probably first ballot, with a healthy, full length career and Sean McVay as his coach.

Starter this thread… I just don’t understand why Todd Gurley is actually so high on this list or what really is so sad. That RB from South Carolina before Gurley came out that played for the ball coach.Marcus Lattimore.
Gurley had that knee injury at Georgia that was career ending. It’s amazing what surgery & rehab do today. Reggie Scott is amazing. I think for all the doubters here that T. Lewis will be in a good space come 2022.

Reggie Scott needs to be one of the highest paid employees on the Rams.

Bailey getting shot was an amazing think, but sad. He worked harder than Tavon Austin.
As a Ram Fan I believed in Tre Mason. Something flipped with him & then once Gurley got drafted by the Rams lost his Chit.

Forgot about Tre Mason. I always had high hopes for him. Hell, even back in 2007 or 2006, around there, I had high hopes for I believe DT Claude Wroten? Seems to me he was one hell of a talent but fell in the draft due to character concerns to us and then never really panned out.

We never reach Super Bowl 53 without him. But I tend to think Goff is still here if Gurley was still rolling and Stafford is a Indianapolis Colt.....
I agree and that would be a shame. I was just thinking that an uninjured Todd Gurley would be an improvement over our existing RB room and would be fun to watch along side Stafford the soul snatcher.

I still wonder what the heck happened to Todd Gurley's knee. Was it a degenerative thing? Chronic pain? Obviously it wasn't an ACL, like he had in college. Did the truth ever come out?
I remember him being horse collared along the sideline in the MNF game against KC and him not looking right when he got up. I know the knee was susceptible to developing an arthritic condition from the prior surgery but his rapid decline occurring in the aftermath of that tackle leads me to believe that aggravated whatever underlying condition he had. And he did state the the knee was painful as far back as early in the 2018 season.

Had a feeing Gurley was going to top that list.
He was on his way to becoming an all-time great.
Still wear my Gurley shirt and I know others do too.

Saddest lost potential of Rams players is Stedman Bailey imo.

Yep. Sideline tackle, pulled down awkwardly. Damn.

I will probably get hated on for this but..

goff/gurley>stafford/akers
I’m not hatin but we saw the best Goff and Gurley had to offer and it was very good. I’m not sure we’ve seen the best of Staff and Akers yet. You gotta think Staff can improve in his 2nd year Akers had his breakout year cut short.

What about Byrd from(TE) from USC. Dude got punched pretty good if I recall ? D. Byrd?
Wrotten was a trade back if I recall. Jay Cutler or Nogua(DT) Oregon. Would have been my pick. He has been a better DT than Suh. Now
You got me look back at some of the Duck DT’s a nice system over the years.
