If they do that, they're the biggest goddamned idiots on the planet. Kyler Murray isn't even the best quarterback in his conference (that honor clearly goes to Stafford), let alone the best player on his own team (I'd take DeAndre Hopkins over him.), and less still the best overall player in his conference. None of them - read; no player in the world - deserve a fully guaranteed contract that eats up most of the cap space. Not even AD is fully guaranteed.

They're fools if they sign that contract, and Urdnot Wrex should eat them.

Can’t wait for these fully guaranteed contracts to slap the Browns and Cards in the face like a pimp who wasn’t paid his cut.

Kyler has shown he breaks under pressure. IMO Tua is a better QB. Kyler may have a better arm but Tua is showing progress in his development. Kyler, not so much. Now that Tua has the weapons he's going to have a breakout season. Kyler is coming off a melt-down season. Once again, his play declines late in the season, and is prone to childish pouting when things don't go his way. Kyler is a kid and IMO is probably the most childish starting QB in the NFL.

I'm loving this. At an average of $46M/yr guaranteed he will hamstring the Cards for the next 5 years. What are they going to do if Trey Lance has a breakout year? Kyler is all he's ever going to be. Lance has upsides greater than Kyler, and his game makes more sense. IMO next year Lance will be more dangerous than Kyler. I have a feeling that this big money will go to Kyler's head and since it's fully guaranteed there are no boundaries. He's obviously satisfied with himself as is right now and that is the biggest red flag there is. The Cards aren't much different than the Browns.

Every one of the Card fans I know here in Tucson is asking what are the Cards going to do if Kyler does a repeat of his late-season fade once he has nothing left to prove? He's getting paid no matter how he plays.

If a contract is going to be guaranteed it must come with performance-based conditions. Only fools write checks with no guarantees that the player will continue to improve. Kyler has shown he's not that kind of guy. These contracts should be written so that only part is unconditionally guaranteed with the rest based upon performance. Now Kyler can stay the spoiled little rich kid with no repercussions.

Bidwell and company are total fools.

Yeah with Kyler and Kliff, the Rams can continue their dominance over the Cards for years to come. Kyler is the poster boy of a system QB and the Rams know exactly how to beat that system.

Is there any reason to give any credence, at all, to the reporting of MIFootball Twitter?

I mean literally any reason to think it's legit!?!

I'm thinking ... No.

Even if true my pov is he was better than his playoff appearance last year why - no DHop plus several others injured. Do I think they are better than the Rams in 2022 with a happy Murray clearly no especially with their best past rusher gone.

For me looking at this objectively is he is really small and he to me is one hit away from disaster. Not sure how Wilson avoided the hits but scrambling QBs do at their own peril. Not to mention the owners wallet. Definite value with scrambling QBs, they expand the pocket, extend plays and scramble for first downs +. Yet that style of QB overall it is like a ticking time bomb you never know when it is going to go off, but it will go off at some point.

AZ's options are limited. There is Baker out there for over 50% less, but other than him I am not sure who they could alternatively hitch their future to.

This deal feels fake all that guaranteed $ why would anyone do that? We shall see.

.

there's no way they're giving him that deal. only the browns would screw themselves that way.

no other team is going to follow the browns lead.

Is my memory playing tricks or does anybody else remember when it was leaked that our own HC fisher was going to receive an extension, or something like that? It seemed ridiculous at the time, right? The FO decided to let the season play out while a decision was made and…the rest is history.

Just saying.
