Maturity can still happen, he’s a kid.

Leadership? Prob not. Maybe when he grows up he’ll become a better leader. Idk. Cardinals can’t wait for that to happen

He’s also not going to get any taller, lol.
Maybe they can bone graph a couple of inches in his shins. Lol

The problem with Murray
1. Can't read defenses
2. Can't read defenses
3. Can't go through his progression past two
4. Lack of maturity
5. Not a team leader
6. Struggles to play in the pocket
7. Lack of height (5'10") Russell Wilson is taller
8. Hit him a couple of times and he plays scared
9. When things go wrong he pouts
10. Injury history, doesn't play through dings
11. He can't carry a team's offense as Stafford did in the Super Bowl with no run game and only one WR.

Conclusion: He's more than flawed, so make him the highest-paid QB in history!!!! Fully guaranteed!!!

Tua is a better QB his game is just different. Tua is showing progress in reading defenses while Kyler isn't. Tua is 6'1" which is short by NFL standards but not like Kyler. Tua can throw deep with accuracy when needed. Realistically if a QB's game is throwing within 25 yds, with timing, strength, and accuracy that's really good enough to win with and Tua can do that. Kyler's game is throwing 95% of his passes within 10 yards. Yes, he can throw deep with strength and accuracy but that isn't his game and doesn't do it often because he struggles to read it. It has to be his first read then he throws it covered or not. Does Kyler throw his receivers open? For the most part he doesn't. I have seen Tua do it.

Kyler is strictly a dink and dunk QB with his passes his first or second quick reads within 10 yards. Tua's game is generally mid-range throws (his first reads are over 10 and under 20 yards downfield) and he does it with strength and accuracy. I'd take that over Kyler Murray any day. Tua now has the pieces around him so the Dolphins are poised for a breakout year. Tua forces defenses to cover more of the field. The Rams beat Kyler by taking everything 10 yds or less away from him and he self destructs.

Kyler Murray overall record is 22-23-1 with a decent team around him.
Tua Tagovailoa overall record is 13-8 with a lesser team around him.

I love this quote from an interview Murray gave late last season. He believes he's so naturally gifted, he doesn't have to grind game film like others do.

“I think I was blessed with the cognitive skills to just go out there and just see it before it happens,....I’m not one of those guys that’s going to sit there and kill myself watching film. I don’t sit there for 24 hours and break down this team and that team and watch every game because, in my head, I see so much.”

There for the Rapp pick. Very fun to watch...the Cards O had medicine-head that day.
I was there too. If I remember correctly, Rapp had another pick of Murray before this one, but a flag against the Rams nullified it. It was pick city for Murray this game.

There are a lot of pragmatic fans over at the Cards forum. They point out that Murray is good for a half season before the wheels start falling off the wagon. I lurk there at times, thinking of trolling, which I'd love to do, but I have to be a little wary so I don't inflame the homers. Even so, every once in a while I can't resist, especially with a new contract for Murray. Kingsberry made the statement that Kyler's and the Cardinal's futures were intertwined. So I posed a question as to when the Cards would pay him like he was their future. $200 million guaranteed, which the level headed posters said no, but maybe half that much. I encouraged them to pony up the dough and pissed a homer off, because he said I was being very glib. And remember, he says, you weren't so glib when we kicked your ass last year. lol.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but that's one of the few losses we've had to them the last couple of years.. isn't it? And no, this homer was not mojorisen........ @Mojo Ram

And yet, Murray did not see Troy Reeder coming right at him in the end-zone; or David Long in the flat.

So stupid he thinks he is smart. I love that kind of stupid in other teams QB.

Aka- why watch film, I can’t read defenses anyway.
