If Kupp married Pharoh, his new name would be Cooper Cooper.

What if I told you...

The ancient Egyptian royal families were almost expected to marry within the family, as inbreeding was present in virtually every dynasty. ... It is believed that the pharaohs did this because of the ancient belief that the god Osiris married his sister Isis to keep theirbloodline pure.

I just changed one of my Keeper League fantasy teams (that has Gurley on it) to:

huh? He's on the team....we'll SEE if he can play in the pros...not against guys we think are pros....JJ wasn't a sure thing...until he showed what he could do.

Everybody's got a feel...but we'll SEE...in a couple more months....probably take more time.

Marcus Peters is one of the best young CBs in the game. You're not making any sense. Cooper Kupp balled out against a KNOWN entity in the NFL who is becoming one of the best at his position.

Marcus Peters is hardly one of the "guys were think are pros". It's a moot point now, but none of this opposition makes any sense.

I can see that... but what I mean is the ability to learn.

A lot of these college kids are 20, 21, 22... he's gonna be 24. I've heard that older players are harder to teach and have somewhat "maxed out" skill wise. Is that true in Kupp's case? Or do you think his ceiling is still untapped?

I haven't heard that before. I've heard that older guys are more mature physically (which is true), so you can't assume the same physical progress that a 21 year old might have in the NFL. However, I haven't heard that older players are tougher to teach or maxed out in terms of skill. I don't foresee Kupp being difficult to coach. JMO.

2:05ish in the video, that was a damn Faulk move. He juked the hell out of them cats. And whoever said this earlier was right, every dang play it looks like he thinks he's destined for the end zone.
Not only that, but he fights for every yard as if it's the last one before the end zone.

Let me put Cooper Kupp's 40 time in perspective. Here are half of the top 10 highest paid CBs in the NFL:
Richard Sherman - 4.60 40
Trumaine Johnson - 4.61 40
Joe Haden - 4.62 40
Josh Norman - 4.66 40
A.J. Bouye - 4.55 40

All of these guys are supposedly slow. How do they cover NFL WRs? How is a 4.6 40 a huge detriment against CBs who run 4.6 40s themselves?

Solid point. Add his decent shuttle and cone times and we have a good athlete and a great football player on our hands! If Goff plays well, Kupp will be a force.

......he plays faster than he times in a 40.

Kupp caught a lot of attention in Alabama with his speed. He may have run just a 4.62-second forty at the combine, but he was clocked at a hair under 21 mph at the Senior Bowl with wearable GPS technology.

Kupp was among the fastest players recorded in Mobile which helped earn him a private workout with the Rams.

EWU receiver Cooper Kupp has been the fastest player for the North Team (20.7 mph max velocity) via @CatapultSports and @RosterWatch

Naw ... he easily has about 6-8 yrs in him. Plenty of time left on his clock. Only thing that could derail him would be injury/s ... but that is true for any player. I'm not worried about the age. I actually like the maturity factor it brings
Is 23 old or something?

Of course....he gets a career.
You don't judge a draft after a day, month...or even season. Several years....but you do look at trends...

Kupp is a very good player, but has anyone really watched that game and saw Kupp ball out against Peters? And in man coverage? The only highlight I could find is where Kupp scores a TD from the slot were Peters who was playing zone coverage perhaps stayed with the outside WR too long. I'd think that if he'd really balled out vs. Peters someone (his agent perhaps) would have clips showing such somewhere. Anybody have it?

Maybe he "balled out" is vs. the entire Washington secondary instead of Peters. The later is far easier to do in that offense. Shoot the final score was 59 - 52.

One game Mack....One game.
For some reason, Washington has some serious talent up there, but they continually under-perform. But this was ONE game....and it's not as a professional. So really...until I SEE him have a game in the PROS...and he's balling out...I have my doubts he'll be this successful.

Concerning 40 times at the combine and why you shouldn't put too much stock in them.

You have to know and practice running the 40 to get maximum times. Some of these kids didn't run track so don't know about hand placement or body lean and the other little things that would make their times better.

Yea me too.

I had JuJu Smith-Schuster ranked 1 and Kupp ranked 2nd, just wish we could have gotten the USC kid instead of Everett at that pick because I think both these WRs will end up being the best two receivers taken in this draft.
I agree 100% I had Smith-Schuster ahead of Kupp on my wish list, BUT I wanted them BOTH in Horns!
Damn Steelers Got Smith-Schuster and TJ Watt, My two biggest "wants" for the Rams!! Another reason to hate the Steelers, besides SB-XIV!!:seizure:

What happened to the good old days when draft picks had their own pressers after the draft?

They need to get back to that. It's always easier to judge a person by listening to them talk, and paying attention to their expressions.

I want the pressers!

Shit like this is why I believe the combine should evaluate players on how they perform on pads too. Football speed != Track speed

A little too busy to get into this discussion but here's the game (or at least some of it) if anyone wants to see it and draw their own conclusions:
