Week 5

AZ(2-2) @ NY Jets(0-4)

MIA(1-3) @ SF(2-2)

MIN(1-3) @ SEA(4-0)

Those all look like W's for NFC West teams.
SO no suprise to see
SEA (5-0)
ARZ (3-2)
S.F. (3-2)

So do the Rams win against Washington and go (4-1) or (3-2)?
Even if we lose we should be okay, but I'd rather have that W and stay in a race against SEA for the division.

We have the best/toughest division in the NFL. (At least NFC)

My biggest take away on this one is 49ers oline looked like swiss cheese
against the Eagles front seven.
The Eagles do lead the league in sacks(17) but they where throwing 9er's
linemen around like rag dolls. Not even remotely slowing down Eagles
en route to whoever was playing QB.
9er's better get their line together soon or the Rams are gonna be feasting.

A lot of things to like about this game.
Cardinals secondary were blowing coverages left and right.
Announcer mentions lack of communication at least a few different times.
Henderson and or Cam should put up good numbers, their run D didn't look
much better than the secondary.
I feel a sweep coming on. Unless the Rams come in flat, I don't see the cardinal D stopping us.

Side Note- Good to see Bridgewater playing well. He has had to overcome a lot. He looked like a gamer this week.

I give the Vikings a solid chance this weekend.
  • While 4-0, Seattle hasn’t exactly pulled away in their games, they’ve all “been close”
  • Vikings at 1-3 could be underestimated, and motivated
  • Vikings -19 point differential is best of the losing teams in the NFC
  • Vikings have scored 30, in 3 of 4 games. Defense not the Seahawks strength
  • Very little home field advantage for SEA
  • Most recent matchup between these two (last December) was a good game
Go Vikes!

We have a clear path to winning the NFC West.

I see each opponent as a unique challenge:

  1. Santa Clara will test our scheme and patience.
  2. Seattle will test our gap integrity and ball security.
  3. Arizona will test our eye discipline (on defense) and our commitment to the run game.
We should count our lucky stars, as these games are practice for the playoffs, where we're going to need to be a well-oiled machine to compete against the likes of Brady, Rodgers and Brees.

...

How hungry is this team tho?

...

Let's Go Rams!
Must go 4-2 or better. Not sure we deserve to make the playoffs with anything less.

Cardinals giving up season high rushing yds for Mike Davis(84) and career high rushing yds for Reggie Bonnafon (53)
in their loss to Panthers. Those numbers may not seem like much but, both of these very average backs
were getting 5.3 yds per carry. Mike Davis has had one 100yd rushing game in his 7 yr career.

This Cardinal defense appears to have more hole's than a golf course.
Maybe I am writing too much on this team but, This is a team who was slated to surpass
the Rams and be the breakout team of the year and owner of the second best QB in the west.
The apparent 2nd best QB had another turnover today making it 6 in 4 games.
But hey, he sure can run the ball.
6 and 10.

I just watched the Seahawk, Dolphins game. The Dolphins were in it until the last four minutes or so. The Seahawks are vulnerable on defense.

Hey Mojo is that a screen capture or copy and paste. Reason is I have been struggling with screen capture.
having a hard time getting them to show big enough. If you have a app or some tips on how to accomplish this
it would be greatly appreciated. Thx Bro.

FYI: Use the @CoachAllred to get someone's attention. They will get an alert. Type the @ symbol and a few letters and their name show up.

The board likes the cut and paste better most of the time. I would try that and post the link.

Jimmy Garoppolo benched after horrible first half for 49ers in his return from injury

The San Francisco 49ers wanted Jimmy Garoppolo back, particularly after Nick Mullens struggled last week.
Maybe the 49ers should have waited another week.
Garoppolo, coming off a two-game absence with a high ankle sprain, had a terrible first half for San Francisco as it fell behind 30-7 to the Miami Dolphins. Garoppolo threw a pair of interceptions, had a 15.7 passer rating and was pulled for C.J. Beathard.
#49ers coach Kyle Shanahan told field reporter Lindsay Czarniak that he was going with C.J. Beathard to “protect” Jimmy Garoppolo. Garoppolo was sacked three times and finished the first half with two bad interceptions.

Garoppolo looked either rusty, still injured or both in the first half. He misfired on many passes, and could have easily had more than the two interceptions he had in the half. Garoppolo practically handed the Dolphins six points at the end of the first half, with two interceptions in San Francisco territory in the final two minutes before halftime.
After the second interception, coach Kyle Shanahan talked with Garoppolo on the sideline and either made the change then or did so at halftime.
It has been a rough start to the season for the 49ers. The defending NFC champions came into Week 5 with a 2-2 record, having fallen back to .500 with an upset loss to the Philadelphia Eagles last week. They have taken on many injuries, including one to their quarterback. Getting Garoppolo back seemed like it would fix some of their issues.
Instead, Garoppolo’s return ended up putting San Francisco in a huge hole by halftime.
