Tons of speculation articles out there. What I am trying to learn from them is Ramsey’s perceived market value.

This one suggests 2nd rounder, plus.

IMO it’s a 1st round pick. Maybe the 45th this year and a 1st next season. Anything less is a joke, again imo.

I think the idea of moving Ramsey to Safety is too premature.

Hes still one of the best CB in the league.
He's definitely physical enough to play Safety, but it would be a waste of talent at this time.

Most importantly. I don't see us paying a safety over $20 mill a year.

Ramsey is a big topic obviously and consensus doesn't want him gone. I am not sure if we all are holding onto the hope of another run and without him and Wagner we won't have enough defensive firepower to get the job done I don't know.

For me as others have said letting Wagner go is one thing but you have Jones and others behind him. Letting Ramsey go (even though we net a return of some sort) there is little behind him.

Honestly I keep going back to a poster who said he can't wait for the multiple bitch threads per week about how bad our secondary is without Ramsey. I truly expect this to happen.

A left turn here is for Snead/McVay is to get rid of the real cancer on the team and that's Morris. You can tell me his bend don't break stats but everyone can see it his schemes are ridiculous. No pressure he doesn't put the offense ever in panic mode with not knowing who's coming or not on a blitz. Pressure rattles QBs, OL and RB/TEs forcing all to be nervous and possibly make a huge mistake. By playing 7-10 yards off the LOS creates calm with all those players so they can get into a rhythm and execute the play called. Sure do we need better pressure off the right side absolutely I assume that will be addressed to an extent but it still matters who is in coverage and with a great DC with pressure calls, CBs lining up 3 - 5 yards off the ball makes a QB and others on the offense have to think an extra couple seconds which cause sometimes indecision.

Ramsey is a major asset but if he must go and I don't want him to go we better get a 1st and a player or a 1st and a 2nd at a minimum or a 1st next year a player and a second/3rd this year. He is in his prime and top 3 at his position and to me I feel is the best in the NFL period.

My prayers for Morris to get a HC job and the Rams hiring Fangio went unheard by the man above. I must have used up all my grace on the 2022 NFC Championship game.

I've said this a million times I will say it again because it blows my mind.

How the hell do the jets trade Jamal Adams for wt 2 firsts plus at the safety position and he doesn't tackle and these morons are saying second or getting a first is a stretch or possible etc.

Sorry there's no way in hell Ramsey should not fetch more than Adams or at the least the same and the same is even laughable. Adams had to get a new contract technically Jalen does not. I don't get it at all. One player is far superior to the other.

And when trade was made it was in the know that Seattle sucked or heading down hill .... amazing

There do seem to be some rumblings that the Falcons want to stay with Ridder this year. If so, that might make them a suitor. Otherwise I think they have to use their draft capital on trying to get one of these 4 QBs this year.

The 45th pick alone wouldn't be enough but I don't think they'd need to add much more to make it happen if Rams want to do it. If they threw in a 3rd and 6th with that pick this year or maybe a 2nd the following year, I think we'd do it (depending on actual number of pick). I think we get a little too obsessed with round of pick and don't look at the number of the pick in the draft which is far more important -- but that's like a whole thread).

Having the 36th and 45th pick would allow us to target a top edge - maybe corner - in this draft (probably via trade up to low 1st round) from one of those picks and packaging one of our million day 3 picks with it.

Like Jourdan said, trading Ramsey probably says more about 2024 than 2023 but if the Rams could get a low 1st or high 2nd and maybe another pick this year, I think there's a slim chance the reload could happen in 2023.

There's a rumor according to Jeff Howe at the Athletic that's "picking up steam" in league circles that Dallas "would be a good fit" for Ramsey. It's seems there's a lot of wiggle room in his wording and it's probably a nothing burger but Dallas has the 26th pick in the 1st round and I think a fair trade for Ramsey would include a pick like that and maybe a little more or less. Would you do that trade straight up? Would you want more? Would you give anything back?

Pitts or London and 45 and I’d consider it

Would need to be more then just 26th pick IMO. likely a 2nd or early third or a decent player. Not gonna get a decent replacement for JR at 26

Sadly, I don't think teams are really interested in trading talent for talent. What's the point, really? Any player we'd get back would only be an average or average + talent at best. Think Kenny Young (though that worked out fairly well for us!).

You won't replace him with a draft pick. You have to factor in the $33.6M you are clearing off the 23' & 24' cap.

Yeah, you're probably right, I don't think the 26th overall gets it done. I'm not sure they could get a 2nd this year on top of it but maybe the following year (which people seem to agree equates to one round less in the current year, ie. next years 2nd is equal to a 3rd this year).

Just saw that Cowherd mentioned on his show that the Rams want Stafford to redo his contract. Anyone else here that? Again he was basing this on his sources.

He & his sidekick commented on how quiet the Rams are and insinuating that that's the type of team that shocks you with a big move. And the subject was 1st rd QBs. So just something to chew on.

Like Ronnie Lott. You Stop it. You apparently never watched or remembered Lott. Ramsey is cutting off his finger to play? Ramsey gets burned and immediately turns to someone else to shift the blame. Lott did this all the time
Really ? I never watched him play ? Seen him live his rookie year and have a better memory than 90% of humans. Wright was a better cover guy until he hurt his groin.
All DBs get burned sometime. Having a short memory is part of playing that position.
I live in 9er country so I have watched more 49er games than I care for.
We have JR on our roster and he will likely go into the HOF. Use him to his full potential.

Didnt Lott play for 3 different teams in his last 5 years? I'm not liking that comparison....
#keeprams
Lott made the HOF, what is not good enough about that ? You have seen JR in run support, right ?
He can still play CB at a high level. Use him to his fullest at that position and then use him to his fullest at safety when the time comes.
We paid a steep price for him so wring out all we can from him I say.
Sick of giving up # 1 picks.

Because Lott ended his career playing for multiple teams in his last years, I want Ramsey to play for just the one he's on.
And fuck Ronnie Lott

Maybe they're trying to restructure Stafford, Donald and Kupp to keep Ramsey.
