Seems to me just a busted block on the first one. You would think Hendo should of picked him up there but who knows. Goff just never even looked that way. Certainly was a DE's wet dream
The line in general didn't do a good enough job holding blocks to give Goff enough time. Give Miami credit though, they came with a good plan and got after us and disrupted what we do. I still think given how we ran overall we should of not thrown quite as much.

The free rusher isn’t the line’s job is it? That’s the difference between the average qb and the great ones.

Impressive how many people actually knew the right thing to do with each play from a Sunday, and can point it out after the fact. As if you had no ticking clock and were privy to exactly what Mcvay said to Goff.

Seriously. It gets comical.

We could do this all day with every single QB in the NFL every week and find numerous things to correct.

But where were all the stills after the Bears game. Hmmm. Yea that wouldn't help the narrative.

Couldn't agree with you more. McVay's pigheaded insistence upon having an equal number of passes and runs is stupid. Use the run to set up the pass. Inside, outside, he's got the guys to do it. Force them to play run first then go vertical on them. Even the opposing defenses knew about McVay's obsession with run/pass balance and they actually kept count. He's not fooling anyone. Get a FB and run down their throats then you pass.

I think Sean McVay has tried to help him get better (by installing hot routes, etc.)

If he is doing that it's just plain stupid. Hot routes must be read by both the QB and the WRs and RB. It's like I've been saying too many times there are no hot options in McVay's plays. Don't blame Goff for not throwing hot if his receivers aren't reading it. IMO it's just plain obvious that both McVay and Waldron aren't coaching hot reads to both the QB and WRs and RBs. That is why I'm laying a whole lot of this on the coaching staff. Players play the way they are coached, that's a given.

Look... Goff had a bad game. Let's not crucify him for it. It doesn't matter how much money he gets paid, or how much experience he has. He didn't pick up the blitzes and had a bad game. Maybe he had already taken a few hits and was a little shell-shocked. I don't know. But a couple of bad games out of 4 YEARS is ok by me. If this happens again with the zero blitz, however... then we will crucify him. lol

He's had more than a couple bad games.

After 4 years you can't see a Blitz WTF and O BTW McVay should have also seen it and adjusted.

I disagree. Its obvious some posters just dont like him for whatever reason and are just waiting for him to have a bad game to further push there agenda. Just because a team brings 7 to the line doesn't mean they're gonna blitz.

Great question. The only ppl who know that are in the rams building. My main question is why it took them so long to adjust. I'm not on the its 100% goff fault we lost wagon. That's crap, it's as much as mcvay fault than anyone.

Well since I started this thread and put up the stills I'll bite Texas. If you think I'm out to get Goff after posting here for how many years and supporting him rather steadfastly you don't know shit about me.

I don't give any player special status where I'll look the other way and willfully delude myself on his play. Whether it's Goff vs Miami, or Kicker this year, or whoever. To me it's just talkin ball. I actually enjoy that and it's why I come here.

And I put up stills when I feel like it, when I have time. If you want to create some sort of trend and storyline with it that's your issue my man.

Yes I've seen that many times but as I have stated many times already, the way Miami was playing a Cover 0 blitz was a perfect opportunity for a WR screen. They worked every time they did one Sunday against the Cover 0 blitz. But they didn't start doing it until the 4th quarter. That's what upset me the most that game. McVay as smart as he is gets stubborn about his offense until he realizes by the 3rd or 4th qtr that his way isn't working and finally adapts to the other teams defensive schemes.

We have made a comeback in each one of out losses once McVay stops being stubborn and if not for a couple of really unlucky plays, we could have won each one of those games.

Two crucial dropped passes and a BOGUS PI call.

I just wish McVay fixes things on the fly that are not working in the first half instead of waiting until the second half to make his adjustments. I know I know - I am not a coach so I don't know what is actually going on at the sidelines during the game. But a guy can dream that things get fixed before the shit hits the fan.
