Love this move. He’s a solid RB and will be a major contributor to this offense. Can’t wait to get the season started!

I noticed a lot of lead blockers for those runs.
blackbart,
Yep, I sure wish good 'ol Coach Mac would go out and get us a true Fullback.
It would open up the running game a lot like we see with the Whiners.

Count me among those applauding this trade.

But, you know what probably makes me feel the best? To read that Pats fans think Michel was the best looking RB in their camp. Wow!

And now he comes to the Rams with a chip on his shoulder in a contract year to be coached by Thomas Brown and under McVay while surrounded by this roster on O? Goodness…

Absolutely needed a strong RB who can get the tough 3th/4th & short carries….along with goal line ones. Pass protection and RB1 abilities are icing on the cake. I’m ready to roll now this season. Let’s do this!

Ideally, Akers wouldn’t be injured in the first place but this is a good move to remedy that. His pass blocking skills will have him fitting right in McVay’s offense

Great move to add a RB of Sony's quality. Very talented guy and should fit in well with us. This makes me feel much better about the offense and our chances to go deep this year. After the Akers loss, deep down I knew we couldn't win it all..he was just too important. Now with Hendo/Michel we will have plenty of balance offensively and Michel shows up in big games. Something I love about him.

Does anyone know off the top of their head what our draft picks are looking like next year with comp picks? No 1st and no 4th comp pick right?

Great move! The price was minimal and he's a very capable back with experience. Bonus points as I think he will fit this offence very nicely. A nice contrast to Hendo's style.

Ironically, Michel has had injury problems himself, and durability - not talent - is the biggest reason we needed another body at RB. Hendo is made of glass. And his previous backup in Funk has knee issues. I suspect Michel will slot in as RB2 now, and that all of the backs will get a decent share of carries.
>Michel has had injury problems himself, and durability<

That would essentially be true of virtually every RB on this roster or at least those who have actually played an NFL game. We're a tad snake bit this preseason I hope it's not a matter of returning to the mean injury wise, because we've got a ways to get there!

I think he should be used as our 3rd down RB, mostly for pass protection, as he is far and beyond better at it than anyone else at that position on our team. He should get plenty of touches, with Henderson being 1A.
