They might have brought Corbett to compete with Brian Allen at Center...Corbett is bigger at 6'4 and might hold up better at the point of attack. Hoping to see Edwards at LG against the Falcons as my stomach can't take anymore of Jamil Demby.

Joe Noteboom was the one OL I did not want to lose and it's because of Brian Allen (friendly fire) the Rams lost him. Still believe need some tackle depth if the Rams can find one and with the addition of Corbett they might release Shelton or Corbett could play LG too.

Unlikely. he'd never played C and wasn't learning it quickly or well.

Kromer really liked him at OG and he got picked earlier than we had him pegged, so we moved on, traded down and got more picks. I think LG is the goal for him. They not gonna throw him to the wolves, so we'll see.

That's good to know, again, would love to see him at LG over Demby.

Maybe @SpaceBrowns can chime in on anything he knows of Austin's time with the Browns.

Sorry @RamFan503.

I don't believe he will be in any condition to give insight about Austin Corbett anytime soon.

It's been reported that @SpaceBrowns was recently seen at a pub earlier this evening doing several shotgun beers with Baker Mayfield.

The latest report indicated he was very intoxicated and being chased down the street by police.

It was only one game sample size but that was a decent game by Corbett against a pretty damn good Bears D. Look back to find your thoughts on this trade. If you were off the wall... maybe think before you type?

Every one who thinks Blythe is a good player should go back and look at last weeks game and simply isolate on Blythe's play. He played LG and C and sucked at both positions. Edwards and Evans have proved the young guys can play. I'd rather see Shelton than praying that Blythe's screw ups don't get Goff hurt. Why Kromer likes him is beyond me.

On the other hand Corbett has played well at LG in two successive games. Both against good defensive fronts. I think it's his job to lose at this point. The o-line is clearly getting better at the change in blocking scheme, as is Gurley. When you look at Corbett's play you wonder why the Browns didn't play him. But their loss is obviously the Ram's gain.

no telling if any will be long term but I’ll take their youth and mistakes now and again compared to what we been seeing this season!

It must be rough your first start but he is showing progress and that’s all I can ask.

Some in this thread looked at Corbett as a horrible trade or non factor and criticized our FO. Guess they don’t have the hair fortitude as the guy who gets paid to make decisions for us! :giggle::ROFLMAO:

I'm going to rewatch the game Tomorrow and focus on the Oline play by play.

Lot's of opinion and hype now surrounding Evans, Corbett and Blythe at Center.

I'll post what the tape shows. I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

But realistically we did lots of Max protect and were not very productive at all vs a depleted Bears defense, so maybe we should temper our enthusiasm until these guys play some tough defenses and the Offense gets back to 30PPG instead of 17.

I'm sure there were mistakes aplenty but the key here is it wasn't a $hit show. Looking forward to the coach tape for the first time in many weeks I'll tell you that. :)

I still maintain that OL'er Austin Corbett is long term Ram @ LG post. Kromer did well thus far on getting this Browns OL'er prepared who had no OTA/ Training Camp nor preseason with this team. Corbett has sent Demby back to street clothes again.Besides my post back on 10/16/19 ref. Corbett below are some of my comments I made earlier this week.

"I anticipate that Austin Corbett is Kromers starting LG from this point on."

"IMO David Edwards is a much better RG than Blythe. I also believe Austin Corbett is better than both Noteboom & Demby @ LG."

Yeah, I also had Corbett at LG.

I like this OL setup. If they continue, that may be the OL going forward which would mean a trade of Havenstein. I’m really hoping that Noteboom can get back to man the LT spot but I can see Big Whit playing one more year on a reduced contract.

That said, if Noteboom can get back in time and the OL looks like this, we’d have a solid and cheap OL allowing us to retain everybody including Fowler, Littleton, Legatron and Ramsey AND potentially sign a FA.

Next week is a MASSIVE test. That Baltimore D has really played well of late.
