BTW - KEVIN DOTSON & STEVE AVILA are the ANSWER for Rams health.

Kyren Williams & Rivers injuries almost cost The Rams 2023.To think he was(Williams) was still 3rd in The NFL in Rushing..

Kyren Williams injury(hand) is another excuse of why The Rams lost to Detroit & didn’t win The Super Bowl .

After giving this more thought, I think the 2nd round tender would make the most sense. He was much better than I recalled last year and I would feel great with him starting at LT
I think last season that he did an excellent job overall, considering it was his first year starting at LT. I believe that he had only 3 penalties last season, and he didn't go Noteboom and go get hurt every time he played. Boom is basically a depth guy to me, with maybe a couple of substitute starts mixed in as needed.
LA needs to step up and match almost any offer that's put on the table for Alaric .......... Losing him would be a setback, IMO.
There's that thing called team chemistry, and A J fits the mold.

Now all the overreacting can be taken back. Yeah like that'll happen.
Embarrassed I Did GIF by Robert E Blackmon

I’m a bit guilty here.
Look forward to having this settled and hopefully keeping Ajax in Horns.

(Although a second round pick wouldn’t hurt)

I'm all for upgrading him but I get we don't and can't do everything in one off season.

I wonder if they would go after one of the big name RBs in FA to pair with Williams? Josh Jacobs or Barkley would look nice in horns.

That RB from Tennessee (Jaylin Hyatt) looks like a good fit for the Rams. He’s a good pass protector too.

Right now, their top 3 OL (cap hit wise) are 4-6 on their cap hit structure (Noteboom, Havenstein and Dotson). Avila is #10. Alaric would come in higher than Avila. The next highest (#25) would be Thomas and then McClendon (#29). A 1st round rookie might come in a little higher than Avila. With Noteboom gone, we'd have 4 OL in the top 9. If they resign Shelton or sign a UFA cheaper than Noteboom he's probably gone. I'd think they'd also have to draft OL in the 1st or 2nd. If he restructures and extends a year, he might survive under any of those circumstances. Should be interesting to watch but many have pointed out, he's got no incentive to restructure.

This may have been mentioned but Jourdan reported two days ago that Rams have contract restructure on table for Noteboom at less money as a non-starter. And that they will be releasing him otherwise.

I can’t see Noteboom taking a significant enough pay cut to warrant an extension/restructure
And being an OT by trade, he could probably garner a decent contract on an open market.
As it stands currently, He costs 30 mill over 2 years if they keep him, or costs 15 mill if they cut him.
If they met in the middle, he takes a 7.5 mill cut, he still costs 22.5 mill (cap space) over 2 years
Id argue he could get more than 7.5 mill guaranteed as a FA

I'd much rather they spent that money elsewhere and grabbed a RB in the draft or after cuts. Any of those guys are going to cost what it might cost to get some talent in the secondary. Let's grab one of those talented vet safeties over a RB who will hopefully only get a few carries a game behind Kyren.

Just realizing how bad Boom actually was last year. 52.9 on PFF (again, not the end all be all but at least they watch him specifically for 100% of his snaps, of which there was 573). Noteboom better take a haircut on that salary based on his play.

Interesting, would have guessed it was a better score from watching him play. I tend to trust PFF scores a little more at skill positions than line play because without knowing the protection call, you're kinda grading a bit blind there.

Moss would be nice. Should know the terminology and be cheap. Cheap is a requirement otherwise use late draft pick.

Yeah, probably the best course of action, but when was the last time a rookie came in at RB and played well? Akers? And I doubt they use a pick before rd 5 on a RB.

I don’t think he gets close to that.
He wasn’t very good this year and doesn’t have much positional versatility, imo. He’s just not good at guard.

7.5 is a ton for an oft-injured, mediocre backup.
