New video shows Rams' stadium in Inglewood is 60 percent done
By: Cameron DaSilva

As the Los Angeles Rams gear up for their first Super Bowl appearance in nearly 20 years, there’s some exciting news about their future home in Inglewood. According to USA TODAY, the Rams’ new stadium – which will be shared with the Chargers – is 60 percent completed and is still on track to open just before the 2020 season.

It’s the most expensive stadium in the country and will house more than just football games. It’ll be the center of an entire complex that includes a hotel, offices and the NFL Network’s headquarters.

“You see this beautiful stadium that has been on your drawing board for a while now and is coming to life in front of you,” Rams chief operating officer Kevin Demoff told USA TODAY Sports this week on the way to the stadium. “It’s just an unbelievable feeling.”

Here’s the latest video of the Inglewood monstrosity, showing what 60 percent completion looks like.

NFL Network analyst Steve Mariucci also posted this photo last week as the stadium takes shape.

The Super Bowl is scheduled to be held at the stadium in February 2022, and given the trajectory of the Rams, it wouldn’t be the least bit surprising to see them playing in the big game three years from now.

Pretty funny. A friend of mine owned a septic company and his license plates were SHT2GO1, SHT2GO2, etc...

grew up on the corner of Lincoln and Glassell in Orange....remember playing in the orange groves...I had Rams season tickets at the Big A for a couple of years then moved to Oregon...I'm looking forward to catching a game at KronkeWorld...

Heh.....just now read this post. I grew up on the corner of Ball and Euclid in Anaheim and I definitely remember running through the orange groves and throwing oranges at my younger brother who so richly deserved it, ya'll.
Thanks for bringing back some those memories, KJD!

.

the concourse area is so flat. unless it's an optical illusion from the camera somehow. i don't think i will try to buy seats in those sections if i ever make it out to the stadium.

So odd seeing snow on the ground in LA. I remember it happening a couple times as a kid growing up in Canoga Park. We managed a little snow man in the front yard. Dirty little fellow didn’t last long. :)

Didn't know you grew up in Canoga Park! I am a Woodland Hills dude, right on Canoga Park border. Lived there in the 60's through early 2000's. Do you remember the fires that used to hit us from the west over Castle Peak? Those images are burned into my brain forever.

We lived on Corbin Ave just a 76 station away from Parthenia. In 1964, my dad bought the original ranch house for that area. It was abandoned at the time and a real mess. But my dad was a young contractor and made quite a place out of it. He turned the horse corrals on the Corbin side of the house (yes they were connected to the house) into bedrooms for me, my brother, and youngest sister. We lived there until 1975 when we moved to Atascadero.

Anyway, yeah I remember those fires. My dad was also with the LAFD at the time so we had a particular interest in them.
