CJ missed a couple blocks & created a fumble sack. He does not add the WR’ type value Gurlynoffers even when hurt against say Philly.

Well, let's keep in mind, he only had a few days to get ready. Hopefully, his blocking will improve knowing the system better, also, he's not in Gurley's class as a receiver out of the backfield, but not many are. Anderson can catch the football though.

Against San Francisco, Rams need to move the chains and Anderson needs to keep pounding the rock, if he does that and the Rams are victorious with the ability to rest Gurley for several weeks is more than anyone can ask for in Cortrelle Javon "C. J." Anderson!

So True !!

CJ Anderson never got his chance with Oakland this year. He won a Super Bowl I believe & was an excellent veteran to pick up from the street. I think The Rams got really luck to find a veteran RB like him.

The Brown injury was the start of The Rams slide. I also think Copper Kupp missing is a bigger lose than fans are noticing.Reynolds is a nice young WR, but Cooper Kupp broke Ram records as a rookie, plus came inches from moving The Rams last the Falcons. He has been Goff’s security blanket along with Robert Woods.

Come on, FLV. You know he was right. Anderson is still a baller. He'd have been a 1000 yard rusher if he started 16 games for us (easily a 1000 yard rusher). I don't know if he'll land a starting job next year, but he'll have an opportunity to be a major part of a committee. I'd love if he stayed with us, though.

I think he's played himself into the starting roll

somewhere else

FLV should have known better. CJA was a 1000 yard rusher last year. He didn't suddenly lose his mojo. Carolina wouldn't play him (because C-Mc was playing 96% of the snaps), and the Raiders are tanking (and stupid).
Exactly.
Denver was stupid to cut him, Carolina chose not to use him and the Raiders are, well, the Raiders...
We all like Malcolm Brown and now Anderson has twice as much yardage on the season

Think he's won the back up role yet? :D

Yes, I do believe he has. Two 100+ games in two divisional wins filling in for Gurley. And just for the halibut, how bout lining him up with Gurley for a couple plays against da bears/shitbirds/iggles/cowpokes? You know, just for gits and shiggles to mess with them. A little old school, but why not? This is the playoffs.

PLAYOFFS!

Flav is on the Anderson bandwagon now...prolly laying his cash down on International sports books on CJ as SuperBowl mvp!

He's not a developmental HB. He is what he is at this stage. He has a 1000 yard season. He has a Pro Bowl. He's a solid all around HB. He lacks breakaway speed, but he's a bowling ball who can consistently tear chunks out of a defense. He's a guy who can put up 1000+ yards and 4.5+ yards per carry behind a good ZBS OL. In the passing game, he's an average receiver and blocker. Those guys aren't in high demand, but they're useful players. C.J. will get another shot this off-season to compete. I think you're attributing much more significance to the Panthers and Raiders cutting him than there was.

I actually think he'll be quite inexpensive for what he can provide. If I were a team with a good ZBS OL, I'd love to sign him this off-season. He'll likely be a reasonably priced option for a guy who can be a productive 1A or 1B HB.

C.J. Anderson over the past two weeks: 43 rushes, 299 yards, 7.0 YPC, and 2 TDs. LOL at the Raiders and Panthers. What idiots.

never even understood why the broncos were so quick to phase him out the past few years. granted they lucked into Lindsay but still

Ok, what is the reason?
And would you say these 3 teams have made wise personnel decisions this year? Seems to me that all 3 franchises are in the crapper because they make dumb decisions.

And Jamon Brown has been a solid starter for NYG who has helped solidify an OL that stunk prior to his arrival. It's easy to understand why the teams cut him. For the Broncos, he was too expensive. For the Panthers, he wasn't playing and likely requested his release (or they wanted to do him a solid, like we did with Jamon).

3 teams who make poor personnel decisions.
Denver had to free up cap space because they gave a monster deal to Case Keenum, who was terrible. Carolina gave him a nice chunk of change, but didn’t use him and cut him to save 40k and the moronic Raiders, well nobody can figure out why they do what they do.
So you say him being cut by 3 teams is a bad look on him where after seeing him play for the Rams it’s evident that those teams are the idiots for cutting him

I’m glad they were stupid and the Rams smart
