I don’t understand the comments about his “noodle arm”. Comments from scouts were he had stronger arm than most projected 1st round QBs.

Can’t be worse than what we’ve had in that QB toom.

Seems a reach unless Snead was sick of the Lions jumping up ahead of him to get who he wanted.

Might as well win one.
Yea his arm strength is no worse than Bryce young

Georgia wins every year no matter who is starting. They are a top college program.
I'm not saying he doesn't have talent, but they will continue winning after he's gone.

The question was why Stinson started for Georgia. It’s not like they couldn’t recruit a QB.

Right or wrong pick their timing was right to grab a QB they keep coming off the board and reality is QB's are a crap shoot we may not get 1 starter of more than a season or 2 out of the whole draft. QB's are high risk

I need to see him throw in the preseason. I want to see if he can throw deep balls to players like Tutu (even though he prob isn't playing the preseason - I could see someone else as a UDFA with pure speed on the Rams)

That is not true at all.

I’m a huge college FB Fan, Georgia is peaking right now yes.

In 2021 Georgia won because of their defense, but in 2022 Bennett stepped up his game, especially against top teams in the SEC championship And CFP where he had to nearly play perfect or they wouldn’t have won for sure.

That crazy f’n shoot out with CJ Stroud last year had Stetson Bennett on the other side of that see-saw battle for the win.

There was 3 other QB’s i wanted before Stetson so I’m by no means in love with him or Georgia, but the reason they didn’t play in a lesser bowl and won the chip last year was Stetson Bennett.

What this pick tells me is that the Rams have a targeted QB next year as their next franchise QB. Bennett needs a whole lot of work. The Rams went strictly off his analytics, with him. He projects as a career backup QB so we simply need to look at him in that light. IMO it's imperative that Stafford stays healthy this year. Bennett needs a year to really polish up his mechanics. One thing in his favor is he seems to be able to read defenses. I'm not overly excited about Stetson, but he's probably better than Haener who is a half-field reader. Most of Stetson's inconsistent accuracy issues seem to be mechanics related. Perhaps that is what the Rams saw. Mechanics and arm strength are things that can be improved.

Let's see how he looks this year. With the improved OL look this year Stafford's ability to stay healthy could be very much improved. The bottom line is that Stetson is a career backup type of QB and a definite upgrade to Wolford.
I see it the same way.

QB of the future?
No

Backup, that can make the underneath throws and make plays with his feet?
Yup...and with a good run game, he could be effective enough in that role.

I love that McVay is our coach, but he seems determined to find a fellow short person to be an NFL qb

I was referring to their record, not just winning the championship. I bet they haven't had a losing season the entire time.

That said, Bennett needs a decent a run Minded O-Line and a beast RB to be efficient.

Well that’s power 5 football man! Lol And not every QB from the power 5 are good, many factors in that for success.

I also think they believe Stafford will be their guy for at least 2 more yrs and maybe 3 more.

Same with the #1 overall pick
And the #2 overall pick
And the #3 overall pick will be followed by a good pass rusher

I'm not saying this guy doesn't have talent. I'm saying I don't think it will translate to the NFL. And the guy that I wanted went not many pics after.
