Bruss's issues were never really the injury. It was technique, strength (strength even prior to injury) and balance. Also, he's not even the type of OT/OG we draft anymore with our move to gap scheme.

This may be hyperbole but unless we need him for reps, I don't want him taking any from rookies in OTA's and camp. Lets just be done with him.

I don't think he makes the team either, but it wouldn't hurt to see what he has two years after the injury.

If he doesn't impress, it's not a huge loss. A wasted third round pick in a year where it was our top pick, but with the players we have, not a huge loss. If he impresses enough, we either have a backup or a trade chip. Either one works.

Yeah, his fate will ultimately be known by the end of preseason this year, if not before.

I read somewhere the Rams can only bring back 1 more player from IR. The article intimated that could be JJ or Reeder (actually suggested a mini-conundrum). But the article also said, for the postseason, they make available 2 more IR returnees for playoff teams. Perhaps bring back Leviston, then JJ and Reeder for the postseason? I don't know Higbee's status. He's not on IR, he's PUP. Does it count the same?

For Gods sake, bring back JJ3. Don't curse us with anymore Reeder. Notice how good the D has played since his injury?

I'm also pretty sure they're carrying 3 QB's right now and a couple of other players that could move back to the PS now that others are coming back. I'm not totally sure tho, maybe someone with some football knowledge can answer this...

Pretty sure they'll bring Reeder back as a backup role. Problem is we don't really have anyone behind Speights/Rose if one of them were to get injured. Yeah Reeder sucks but we're really thin at the position.

It's not the slot availability on the 53. It's the rules only 8 players can be brought back from IR and the Rams have already brought back 7. Gives them even more incentive to make the playoffs! :laugh1:

If KT sees the field this season... we'll have all drafted rookies making contributions.
Snead... wow.

haha no offense but Hummel hasn't looked good at all. I'd say he's looked as lost as Reeder when on the field.
Not that agree so much as.... if that's a fact, why bring back Reeder when you already have a Reeder behind Rozeboom/Speights? At least for the regular season.

Had to go investigate. It looks like Leveston is a part of the 7 so far so we have 1 spot after Leveston according to the below article. Higbee does not count towards the 8 since he was on PuP to begin training camp. So looks like last spot will come down to Reeder or JJ3 until playoffs at least. Murchison was a huge kick in the nuts being that he came back and immediately got injured again. :(

One major variable factoring into the return of Reeder and Johnson: Los Angeles has one IR return designation left to use this season. Teams are allowed to designate up to eight players to return from IR during the regular season. The Rams so far have done so for seven players: Offensive lineman Steve Avila, offensive lineman Jonah Jackson, wide receiver Puka Nacua, offensive lineman Joe Noteboom, cornerback Darious Williams, defensive end Larrell Murchison and offensive lineman K.T. Leveston. Murchison and Leveston began the season designated for return, which still counts toward that allotment of eight.

Those return rules do not apply to Higbee, who has been on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list since Aug. 27.

I get your point but Reeder is a better ILB than Hummel at this point. Hummel hasn't shown anything in his limited snaps to show he can be trusted. Which is why he doesn't really see the field. Yes, Reeder is pretty terrible, but he will have a good game here and there. But getting back to the point is they can only bring back 8 players and they're already at 7. So does that mean Reeder has to stay on IR the rest of the year if they were to choose JJIII off IR?

Yes Leviston was one of the 7.

The article I was referring to was from BVM sports but Turf Show Times had a similar take.

They said, the Rams designated 7 players for IR with a return designation. Puka, Avila, Jonah J., Noteboom and DWill as well as Leviston and Murchison. I ask, "what about Kupp" but was he never on IR. Simply inactive.

So now that that's settled, what about our offense? Have they awaken again? :laugh1:

Kupp never went to IR
