I love that Preseason is almost over by Tuesday. Let’s get our team together and get ready for the Bills. Maybe tomorrow we’ll find out that AD and Kupp are #1 and #2 on the NFL Top 100 List? That would be nice…..

Urgent request from all anti-LA media and fans: "AD99 is an absolute thug and a noggin decapitator! He is unquestionably evil and must be destroyed at all costs!!! Cooper Kupp and the Comeback Meistro have some kind of unholy connection to each other that defies all known scientific laws & principles. It is downright unfair! for them to compete against ordinary NFL players who are merely trying fairly (or unfairly) to ply their craft. I mean, who the hell else throws and completes no-look passes & catches at this level!?! Their magic or satanic trickery can no longer be allowed against mere mortals. Fry them both at the stake at once!!!"

Like: Appears that Carberry finally found a replacement for RG Rookie Logan Bruss Saturday afternoon. #64 Jack Snyder. Mission accomplished!:thumbsup1:

Like: ER Keir Thomas was the best edge defender against the Bengals need to remind everyone ER's Chris Garrett & Benton Whitley played. :thumbsup1:

Dislike: Rams DC Morris can not be pleased with his safety performances....very weak.

Dislike : McVay did not play any NFL-caliber RB against the Bengals, after Henderson/ Akers/ Williams ....none deserve to make the MR53.:not:
Maybe backup QB, Perkins, needs to be converted to RB. He looks like he definitely has an NFL-caliber future there. Of course, that means we need still another backup QB!!!

Likes: The Bengals back up QBs. If they cut Browning or Allen, the Rams need to get one of these guys. They are way better than Perk or Wolf. 90% of their passes were on targets and hitting their receivers in the numbers.

Defensive line - Keir Thomas and Hoecht had great games. Sad to see Garrett struggle to get any rush as he lost against whatever tackle he went up against.

Dislikes: LBs and Safeties - Y'all didn't help yourselves make a roster last night.

More dislikes: Perkins - The protection was serviceable. Were your receivers not getting open or were you just unable to make your reads properly?

Another dislike - The soft cover 2 was disappointing last night. Bengals WRs kept finding themselves open in the zones or open in the flat based on the huge cushions being given up by our corners. Unsure what the game plan was last night on defense and when we would play that accept the first few games each year.

I'd take a shot at Browning, Rams had Allen and I feel Wolford is better IMHO. Starting to agree about Perkins, his passes float, nothing on them. Browning is 26 so he's been around, but his arm is an upgrade that's for sure.

Again Perkins does offer quite a bit with his legs, but that's it. I would move on too, however, we shall see.

Thomas is definitely a bright spot.
Keir Thomas I felt had a shot because he played at South Carolina & Florida State both upper tier programs. He's showcased enough for me because he plays the run & the pass well IMHO. I would keep him along with Garrett to back up Floyd, Hollins & Lewis.

Not sure about the Browning-Love here. On the Bengals' TD drive after the Rams pulled to within 9-7, it looked to me like the Rams were just playing a soft-zone. Individual play can be measured in a final pre-season game but it's kind a waste ... in my opinion ... to evaluate Unit-play.

I'm hoping the Rams can pick up an Offensive Linemen if Teven Jenkins is available I would make a deal for him because he has the ability to play both Guard & Tackle. Chandler Brewer & Bobby Evans were not very good again, Brewer was actually worse and it's time to move in another direction.

Agree on Jenkins.

Also looking at Miami, with a new Head Coach and running philosophy; plus, two free agent OL now starting. Wondering about former starters like G/C Michael Deiter (Wisconsin grad, and the Rams have a few of them) and massive guard Solomon Kindley.

Hoping we try and put Perkins on PS. If he gets claimed, so be it. I'm not worried. There will be FA QB's with as good of an arm. Thomas and Cutch are hopefully making the 53, however, both played the whole game if I'm not mistaken? that doesn't sound like a McVay thing to do if they were shoo in's to make the team.

Wolford cannot throw deep, but his intermediate throws are OK, whereas Perkins' throws floaters all day, or so I've heard.

Cannot throw deep does not mean you have a good arm. Again I'm not saying they're on the same level I'm saying they both have a weak arm. Wolfords' may be less weak than Perkins' but that doesn't mean it's good. A lot of backup QB's would be an upgrade on both of them.

Wolfords arm when in the game does not make the defense account for something he can do. Perkins ability with his feet makes the defense account for that. Neither though are a long term backup answer.

RB?
Naw.
He will be converted to a WR as part of McVay design to carry 14 receivers.

If either guy started for extended an period both would see those S creeping down and lots of blitzing.
Even with Goff, who has a ton more arm talent that either Wolford or Perkins, when the Rams couldn't hit deep stuff in Goffs' last LA season you saw defenses collapsing down closer and closer and the passing game struggled.

I really think it comes down to who McVay trusts more to run his offense as close to normal as possible.
Thats it.
