Rams lose a game (vent thread)

Jackson looked like a rookie not playing the ball and knocking it away on the interception.

Kupp dropped a first down on the first drive.

Stafford had several what the fuck throws.

Michel had a terrible fumble but should have been used on the goal line.

McVay should have know they could run for a thousand yards today and control the clock. His play calling may have been the worst part of today.

Except the defense made sure to take everyone off the hook. Morse’s scheme is terrible.

Did Donald play today? Ramsey in this stupid ass Star role needs to be trashed tonight.

No time to fuck around, Seattle will destroy them Thursday if they play this poorly.

I expected to split with AZ but thought it would be in their home. As I’ve stated in threads multiple times, a lot of these coaches are friends and they take these games personal. If you think Kingsbury wasn’t going to have us be his Super Bowl you were sadly mistaken. For them to have any shot at the division they had to slay their dragon.

Morris’ defense was the wrong answer from the get go, I pray he adjusts and gets it together.

As many stated before, against average offenses that defense works. Against very good offenses it doesn’t work very well and has a low percentage to succeed.

Exactly. He’s given 100’s of yards In Our other games and his coverages for doing so make zero sense.

He can’t get that idiocy of the cover 2 soft under zone out of his play calling habits, which is why he had a piss poor defense in Atlanta and Tampa Bay.

Bend but don’t break my ass. How about challenging players at the line and contesting them constantly? Our Defense players and abilities are literally geared toward that.

I hope McVay rips his ass and gets him to shift his scheme, I don’t know it’ll work out since he has shown he constantly goes back to some cover 2 variant.

If we had to lose, this was the way for it to happen.

We got MOLLYWHOPPED today... at home...

However, our next 5 games are VERY winnable and THIS is the kind of ass-kicking that gets a team MAD... as they SHOULD be mad.

My biggest takeaway? WHY THE FUCK DO WE HAVE NO CONTAIN??? This loss is on Raheem Morris. We've had organizational knowledge from Fisher to Philips to Staley... WE KNOW how to rush mobile QBs... except we had NO PLAN for Murray's mobility and they KILLED us with outside runs and that basic ass RPO nonsense that has NEVER phased us in the past. The defensive scheme was GARBAGE.

I hope they fucking CHOKE on this shitty defensive effort and scheme for this game and we rear back and just wreck the rest of our schedule.

I think this was the Cards Super Bowl and they put as much effort into this game as we did into the Bucs game. The Cards next 5 are pretty ugly, but honestly, if they win even 4 of the next 5, they'll likely win the division at this rate. I was impressed with their execution.

I think the refs need to quit fucking around and call the head shots.

I think I'll be playing a LOT of video games this week and avoiding the sports media. Also, the upside is that I won't remotely be tempted to watch any Florio... So I got that going for me...

Defense was by far the worst aspect of the game today.

I don't know Stafford couldnt hit an open receiver, and the receivers didn't get open often. Some stops from the D would have been nice, but wasted today.

Staley used Ramsey to take away their primary weapon. Morris was too proud to follow Staley's game plan. Morris' scheme doesn't stop the run and it certainly doesn't stop the pass. His idiotic scheme not to contest the reception is garbage and exposed for exactly that. How many times did Murray simply dump off to wide open guys in the short zone? That's why the rush could not get there. It's also why his scheme can't stop the run. He counts upon the offense to make mistakes. But if they don't, the Rams will lose just like today.

FIRE MORRIS I'm a fan and saw this coming. McVay WTF is the matter with you? Tell freaking Morris to return to Staley's scheme or walk.
I agree they didn't play contain when they are playing a running QB? WTF?

This team has the personnel to dominate the Cards. But Morris gave them gift 5-6 yards on every first down snap. You can't win that way against a good team.

Team loss. First off the HC certainly has input on the defensive game plan.

2nd, the D got off the field first time out and the offense had great field position and turned it over. Then came back later and gave the D a short field off of the fumble.

Then the offense could not complete drives to keep them in the game. No way you were going to win this game with 13 points regardless how the D played.

The offense had to keep pace and they didn't come close to doing their job.

And yes, the D was undisciplined and sloppy snd in a sense did not compete, but that was happening on both sides of the ball except oddly enough not the OL, which played well.

And the scapegoat was shipped out of town so the coach has to look in the mirror a bit.

This was my biggest problem.

how do you have a week to prepare for a team and not make priority one containing the outside. It is mind blowing.

next, you have long 1 on 1 in the most critical moments.

it’s asinine and on Mcvay for hiring Morris at this moment.

Time for Mcvay to drop the hammer on Morris and the personnel.

Stafford was off but besides those few that thought he was a consistent chain mover, it was expected. His short to medium game has always been erratic and subpar. You take the good with the bad.

I still have faith in Stafford if the line stays healthy but the defense needs to get fixed quick, been saying it all year.

Back in 2019 the Rams d stunk it up against the ravens, then the Cowboys and the last straw, against the whiners when they let them complete two 3rd and 16s in the last drive to let the whiners knock them out of the playoff hunt.

Phillips was outta there by the time the ball sailed through the posts to give the whiners the win.

Morris better get the d into shape quickly.
