The Rams traded back to select Gerald Everett. John Johnson is what The Rams received because Les Snead knew the value of the draft. Now that both those players are gone The Rams might have a chance (Hypothetical) to select Njoku. To lazy just to look up numbers as well.

Question-who made out better ?? Yes- The Rams did not have that 1sr rd pick & maybe it was Engram they wanted ?
I think The Rams did better than both teams selecting those TE’s
George Kittle was the best of the bunch.
Ok....
Thanks for the recap, but I'm more concerned with what we have now. Its possible, regardless of how slight it may be, that Njoku might be available. And if he is, I'd love the Rams to dive in

Currently, this is a guesstimate on what Snead has accumulated in Compensatory selection for the 2022 Draft. Nine picks & still building!

Keep in mind that the one still remaining UFA Austin Blythe might surprise us with a contract with another team that might put Snead to get a 5th round awarded pick. UFA starting OL'ers are getting paid big. No idea what WR Reynolds got from the Titans.

2022 Projected Ram Draft is assembling close to the below with NINE selections plus a good chance to see it get enhanced when Austin Blythe signs a better deal than Everett or Ebukam:

#2-Rams own
#3-Rams own
#3-Rams awarded Compensatory Pick for Brad Holmes
#4-Rams awarded Compensatory Pick for JJ III
#5-Rams own
#6-Rams own
#6-Rams awarded Compensatory Pick for Ebukam/Hill/ Everett
#6-Rams awarded Compensatory Pick for Ebukam/Hill/ Everett
#7- Rams own

Browns took Njoku in the 1st round I believe whereas the Rams traded down in the second to get Everett plus Johnson in the third.

Rams did not have a shot at Njoku if I am recalling correctly.

And these stats don't impress me much for a 1st round TE

In order to combat the following:

Rams will have seven either starters or former starter or projected starters as UFA's.

Williams, Corbett, Noteboom, & Day, are the ones that matter.

OTC has them at $8M over the cap next yr, but they can carry $7M over from this yr, minus any salary bonuses to be earned this yr.

This is why I felt Hav could or should be traded.

Williams, Corbett, and Noteboom are the key ones. Brown hopefully replaces Day, so we can lose him.

Maybe on Brown replacing Joseph-Day. I have seen quite a few posts projecting that role for Bobby Brown.

However, I don't think that's the direction the Rams will go. I think Bobby Brown is there to replace A'shawn Robinson, with Robinson taking-on Brockers' role as the starting 5T. Think they are set with Joseph-Day and Gaines inside

Robinson was behind Brockers at the end of last season. He was originally signed to replace Brockers when he signed with Baltimore. Expect Robinson to start, with Brown behind him; and possibly, becoming the starter in 2022.

Also anticipating Ernest Brown competing for the role vacated by Morgan Fox.

Umm.... Yeah, I'm well aware of what has transpired so far this year, thanks.
Any reason why you felt I needed to know this?

Yeah- I find it interesting & a good source of reference for the future.

How does it play out.My guess is there is some doubt of how it all works out,

Bonifay’d, looking back I didn’t see where you got those numbers?

Not sure what The Rams draft picks really are ?

Well I guess using the comp pick to complete the Matthew Stafford trade worked well.

Then Ernest Jones at 22 years old would be worth how much coming out into the 2022 draft with a SuperBowl ring?

Jacob Harris,I don’t know ? His rookie teammate & new BFF Ben Sko sure made some nice catches.
He also helped push Brycen Hopkins as well. The future ?

Pure luck that I got that close but at that time I did not know that the GM Holmes award comp pick was outside the set amount of total awards received. That's why I dropped off that last 6th round comp pick to only 2.

Right now I am waiting on the signing of UFA CB Darious Williams (4th rder), ER Von Miller to sign elsewhere (5th rder) , & the contract numbers to be posted on ER OG Okoronkwo (5th rder) to put out my guesstimate for FIVE new 2023 comp pick awards & mush them in the Rams 2023 owned draft selections.

SJD is now a Charger, ... Bobby Brown's role in 2022 may be in rotation at a couple positions. A'Shawn Robinson just turned 26 years old two days ago, so my hope is that he gets extended soon.
Morgan Fox was recently released by Carolina, my first choice would be to have Morgan Fox picked back up and allow him to replace himself in the role he vacated. Earnest Brown can't compete with Fox as a rotational 5T pass rushing specialist, he may have some chance of competing against Copeland, although I have my doubts he's even ready for that. jmo.

You realize that this thread is a year old … Right?

My comment above was from last May.

LOL, just saw that. Why some posters find it necessary to drag these old threads out confounds me. My apologies as I missed this, and my fault for not studying these dates more closely.

No problem.

Welcome to the World of So Ram. Seems like it would be a fun place to visit but a little scary to live there.

The Rams I believe need to trade Rob Havenstien for let’s say a 4th/5th rd pick in 2021. Brockers as well would bring Cap relief say for a 6th?
Ummm...JUST NO!!!

Continuity on the OLine is a must!!! We know Big Whit is gone at LT and Boom is staying. THE OLINE IS SOLID...so don't mess with it!!!

Hav is the 6th ranked best tackle in the league and you just don't give that up in my mind.

YOU KEEP HAV...but you look to draft his successor.
