Man you think for Hill? Never been as high on him as others seem to be. He's a great tackler and I like his aggressiveness for his size but coverage skills have been suspect at times. Was thinking in the $4-5 average. If he goes elsewhere that'd be great if someone spends enough to get a 5th out of him.
Appears I overestimated Hill's value but he followed JJ III to the Browns. Hill did get a real nice contract getting a 4 yr $24 million deal.

I for one would like to see Hill resigned to a reasonable contract. We are going to need another corner, what's that old saying,
" a bird in the hand beats two in the bush".

Ok, so Cleveland takes half of the DB's from the Rams and in good faith sends us David Njoku for a late round pick just to be nice.

Thought this kid had & still has upside in Njoku..Compare him to
Gerald Everett though ? Seattle knows what they are getting. JJ & Everett
together were a better combo than just that straight pick the Browns had with David??

Njoku is better than Everett for what the Rams need, he is the guy who will get the jump ball (potentially at least)
I dont think Everett is in great shape, clearly had few options. Unless the reports are incorrect, he signed a 1 year deal with no signing bonus, and has no guaranteed money, that is what we call a flyer

Did the Rams trade down in 17' and get Everett & Johnson? And Browns took Njoku?

Browns took Njoku in the 1st round I believe whereas the Rams traded down in the second to get Everett plus Johnson in the third.

Rams did not have a shot at Njoku if I am recalling correctly.

And these stats don't impress me much for a 1st round TE

Exactly - the comparison of Njoku & Everett aren’t equall in The Rams case. The Browns had the early pick The Rams traded back so JJ was apart of
Everett being drafted. The Rams needed a TE. Everett’s value as a TE was not as high,so Les traded back & still drafted the TE Mcvay wanted. JJ is what came out of it.
Of course I was all for the trade back, but that 9er TE Kittle was what I called insurance. What an excellent draft Very deep draft 2017

The point being if The Rams had a chance at drafting David Njoku do they
trade back still. Kittles was the best TE in the draft. Ingram & OJ ?? In the draft as well ?? I just know it was one of the Best TE drafts.
I wanted Cooks from FSU,just perfect for depth with Todd Gurley. Having Gurley as The cowbell RB was silly Imo. There were so many ways to go.
Would have not drafted either Everett or John Johnson. That’s not the point though.

The Rams did very well drafting John Johnson & Gerald Everett.

David Njoku was not a possibility unless to trade up in 2017.If McSnead
liked Njoku coming out college? Then
Mcvay might still think there is a lot of potential there ?

I’d say yes if he becomes a Ram!! Thoughts would be Phillips & Mcvay are both solid coaches who could bring out the best in him & believe in there ability.

Well a lot of folks were saying The Rams should just cut him for the $5 million?

Having him back & still getting a comp pick for a UDRFA ?

WOW — have times changed being a Rams Fan.

The Rams didnt have a 1st round pick, so they werent in a position to draft Njoku. Pretty sure they wanted Engram and when he was off board they traded back
John Johnson
Remind me why we are talking about JJ? You lost me again

The Rams traded back to select Gerald Everett. John Johnson is what The Rams received because Les Snead knew the value of the draft. Now that both those players are gone The Rams might have a chance (Hypothetical) to select Njoku. To lazy just to look up numbers as well.

Question-who made out better ?? Yes- The Rams did not have that 1sr rd pick & maybe it was Engram they wanted ?
I think The Rams did better than both teams selecting those TE’s
George Kittle was the best of the bunch.
