Are we going to do anything about the kicking situation?
Those other guys were worse than what we have seen so far? Hard to believe.

Considering he sucked and got injured, I expect so. Maybe MacGinnis gets a chance. Maybe they sign a different kicker off a practice squad. Many parts of me wouldn't mind giving Brett Maher a try. He was pretty good in 2018. Sucked last year. But the dude at least has a booming leg (hit from 62 in 2018 and 63 in 2019).

Next inline is the guy that should have gotten the job out of TC, Austin MacGinnis. He's got a much stronger leg than Forbath and he and Lirim tied during TC. He's younger than Lirim so if he works out they have a long-term option in him. Why they took so long to can Sloman and then messed around with Forbath makes no sense. Mac is on the PS so release Forbath Monday and sign Mac to the active roster on Tuesday. Meanwhile, they should be lining someone up to sign to the PS in case MacGinnis bombs as well.

This kicking carousel is ridiculous.

How ya like me now, bitches? Want me back?
Now you're gonna have to beg....

Here is a question...

I remember Hekker doing a Dude Perfect video years back and if memory serves me correct, he did a couple trick field goals...could he not be better at kicking FG than what we have on the roster? Or would that wear his leg out too much? Im not certain on the strain these guys feel from kicking.

If there’s no objection, I will kick for the Rams next week.

I played high school football but never kicked. However, one time my friends and I were trying to kick field goals in my driveway and I hooked a kick, and broke a window.

Now, I should mention it was a basement window so the ball never got more than a foot off the ground. On the positive side, the kick had something behind it. I took out both the window and the screen behind it.

So if everyone agrees, l will meet the Rams in Tampa.

Oh and while they are at it they should be looking for a new ST coach. That is a glaring weakness.

I concur I posted one of the Assistants I would look at next season as I hope McVay replaces John Bonamego because that should be a priority. As to the kicker I believe they will activate Austin MacGinnis off the practice squad and give him his shot. If not, Sergio Castillo has kicked well for the Jets with Sam Ficken hurt, so maybe the when the Jets cut him, the Rams claim him because he hasn't missed.

This is turning into a major shitshow, the low short kickoffs have led to points and good field position and I don’t think they even want to attempt a long fg. But at least it seems McVay is acknowledging the problem, he didn’t try to sugarcoat it at all, which doesn’t bode well for Forbath’s dream of playing in his hometown. That kick that got returned 50 yds was so low they really had no chance to prevent a decent return, well now that he’s hurt maybe we have no choice but to see the next guy.

If memory serves me correctly I think Frank Corral use to kick and punt for the Rams.

Then we'll need a new holder.
Hekker does more than enough.

But, he could probably do just as good as a job as the kickers we've had this season.
