While the playoff loss in 67 hurt it was the regular season game that turned me into a Ram fan. Watching the game as an 8yr old with my 2 older dickhead brothers, I was rooting for the Packers as I hadn't really chosen my team yet. Living in NY they were Giant fans and the Rams were losing and they kept busting my balls telling me that the Rams were going to win. Nice guys. In the end Rams blocked the punt and 2 plays later Gabriel to Casey sealed the win. That next Thursday my mom took me to the Dr as I was sick and sitting in the waiting room there was a Sports Illustrated sitting on the table. On the cover was Roman Gabriel and inside were pictures of the blocked punt and the TD. I looked at those colors and those helmuts and said thats my team. Been a die hard ever since. Grew up with a Roman Gabriel poster in Blue Unis on my wall and called myself Ramon Gabriel lol. Now I am just Ramon The Ram Fan.
Worst thing about playoff loss to Pack in 67 was back then they rotated hosting playoff games. We had the better record but had to play in cold GB which was terrible for us. Travis Williams returned a kickoff 103 yards and they killed us.

Ironically I tried to groom my son and his first real Ram game to watch with me was the OT loss to Carolina and Steve Smiths catch. Had we won that game I may have had him for life. Later he got into fantasy football and latched on to Aaron Rodgers and has been a Packer fan since.
Will be a fun day Saturday and I love my son but I desperately want another Ram win.

Western Conference Championship, 1967 season: Packers 28, Rams 7
A 29-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Roman Gabriel to flanker Bernie Casey was all the scoring the Rams could muster as the Packers advanced to their third-straight NFL championship – known in NFL history as the famed "ice bowl" against the Dallas Cowboys.
For the Packers, the win avenged a narrow 27-24 loss to the Rams at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum two weeks earlier in which a blocked Green Bay punt set up L.A.'s game-winning touchdown pass from Gabriel to Casey.

I am a third generation Ram fan so it wasn't ever really a choice or a game. I do remember my favorite childhood game though. I was 12. It was a beautiful day in the sunny Coliseum. OJ Simpson was coming to town after his 2,000 yard season. But I was all about seeing Harris, McCutcheon, Jack, and Elmendorf and spending a great day - just me, my dad, and my Rams.

We had great seats and just watching those blue and yellows and the horns on the helmet - the yellow glowing in the sun - was amazing.

The Rams won the game in what would appear to be a defensive battle but it just didn't seem that way to me. It was just a fun game and Elmendorf was the star. I'll never forget that game and those uniforms in the bright sun. I can still feel that game.

Super bowl XIV for me. Uncle who’s more an older brother was rooting for them so I did too and we’re still the only two Rams fans in the family.

Yep. Me as well. I'm glad my dad didn't warn me that I'd be rooting for a team I wouldn't actually be able to watch on TV reliably for another 20 years.

Superbowl XIV for me. That game was a spectacle. I was 7 and a half and was somehow devestated by the loss. I swear I die a lil bit after every stupid Rams loss...

When I was like 6 or 7 people that baby sat me were Rams fans... so they would idoctrinate me.

However at that time i had zero interest in sports... but had some Rams gear.

Then around age 12 when I started to really get into sports I saw the Rams on TV.... Everett to Ellard..

I had an Eric Dickerson poster when I was like 10... but i didn't even follow sports at that point.

I was born a Rams fan in 1980 and still have the onesie and beanie plus the Vince Ferragamo Sports Illustrated in perfect condition. First game in person I think was in 1993 Bettis rookie year against the Cardinals at ASU, sometime close to that. Talked to my Dad and I for over an hour. Hence my user name.

I was a Rams fan because my Dad was one. Even though I lived in Whittier, CA, I was the only Rams fan on my block. One neighbor was a Miami Dolphins fan when it was cool to be one (1972 Dolphins). I had a kids football helmet with the white horns and my favorite player was Merlin Olsen, who I got to see play in 1973 at the LA Coliseum (Rams v Browns).

My Dad has been a Rams fan since he was 12 so it was never really a question for me either, but as a little girl I wasn't really interested in football, I was into dolls and princess movies ect.. I do remember football being on on Sundays though and my Dad cheering or being really frustrated LOL. I remember him talking about his hate for the Niners, him telling me "Remember, we love the Rams we HATE the Niners lol" Well flash forward, I'm 15, I've been seeing a boy that my father does not approve at all and my Dad and I are not on speaking terms. Any time that I am home I'm up in my room avoiding my Dad. Well one Sunday, October 10th 1999 to be exact my older brother come up to my room and says "You have to come downstairs and watch the Rams game with us, we're beating the Niners! Trust me you want to watch this" That game made me a fan and of course that was the fairytale season and those Sunday's with my Dad brought us back together

1989 playoffs vs the Giants, Flipper catches the game winner from Everett and runs off the field down the tunnel. Hence my username! Always loved the uniforms and was kinda a 50/50 Rams/49ers fan (I know, I know) mainly because I always liked Joe Montana...but that Flipper game is where I broke free! Straight to a decade of losing seasons:LOL:

Don't remember the exact game, but I remember the season I became a fan I got lots of flack from friends because I'd listen to our games on the radio (not all were TV back then) when they'd play the Saints or Falcons who we'd destroy in the NFC West along with the 9ers.

Good times.
