This change can be good, but how long will it take for the new ST co-ord to actually implement what he wants? At least there are a few days until the next game. Tweaks or overhaul in that period?

I guess they removed Corum from KR duties because he's become so valuable on offense.

To my eye, Whittington has some decent speed. From what I saw, the blocking looked like shit.
I don't see that with Whittington. He's physical and quick, but he's not fast imo. He'd be fine as the #2 guy out there if we had somebody better than Rivers. But that combo is very underwhelming.

I was saying during the game that we never get a long return anymore.
Not a long punt return.
Not a long kickoff return.

When we do get one there's a damn penalty on it like in the Seattle game.
And yet we let them get a long return on us.

Not working.

I don’t want to overuse Smth, but I feel he would be a good option.
I have never understood why a good kick returner wouldn't make a good punt returner if they're showing good hands, speed and elusiveness.

Shouldn't they be able to do that on both punt and kickoff returns?

Punt Returns are more difficult for obvious reasons being that catching a punt with people breathing down your neck is difficult, but Smith has returned kickoffs too and he has the speed the others don’t.

Then I guess it's a wonder anybody can do it.

Yet somehow players manage. ;)
My point being, if they can return a punt, they should be able to return a kick off

Blackburn's been getting jacked by other teams coaches for a while now. Way too many situations where you can see schematic issues. Also I think as it pertains to building the ST roster McVay needs a ST Coach who is gonna go in his office and fight for bottom roster quality ST pieces. Chase always struck me as the buddy-buddy type, all jolly and shit.

This next draft for example how bout we draft a fucking returner who can elevate the punt teams. Maybe some of those secondary pieces on the depth chart lose their jobs to pro ST types who can kill it as gunners. And so on.

I want someone grim on that sideline raising hell when there's a penalty that pins the offense back. Or who loses his everloving mind each and every time some fuckhead on teams vacates his lane to duel with his matchup or chase butterflies. A real hellraiser who players are going to know represents them on cutdown day but will also get all in that ass when needed.
Why isnt Tutu returning punts/kick off. Seriously, the rams are paying him 10 mil to not play or contribute.
