He ran a punt fake on 4th down without getting the ok from Mcvay first.
Do the Rams really want a coach like that to come back to the team?

I said the same exact thing during our last game. Could Hunter be any worse? At least he has speed and power. It looks like our current guys seek the first defender or worse, their own blockers backside. Neither of those guys are a threat to house it.
He called a fake punt in the Tams territory without clearing it through McVay and it failed leading to the Cardinals scoring. So when Dallas came calling and the fact the he did that in his own, he and McVay agreed to part ways.
Sure wish he would come back though.

Now fire whoever decided to go to the prevent so that we could give up over a point a minute in the fourth quarter. And while we're at it, fire whoever was in charge of that fourth quarter offense as well!

Even better, how about they flip the field for the first time all season by creating a fumble recovery! That and create points themselves from a kick off or punt - for the first time in Blackburn’s reign! The longest return is 43 yards the entire time he’s been here! That’s piss poor…
That’s not all on the returners! It’s perhaps more about how bad the blocking scheme is and how poorly it’s executed. No single returner has made it work so it’s more likely the scheme and coaching”

I honestly think McVay didn't really care about special teams much. After the Eagles game they asked him about the blocked FGs and he said something about he didn't want to think about that right now. He's finally starting to care now that it's cost us several games this season.
Karty might even be salvageable with a competent guy coaching him.
Not saying the interim coach is good or not, but he can't be worse than Blackburn.

No chance he’s getting a call. The guy called a fake punt against the coaches wishes. That’s something that gives you a ticket to Tennessee. Don’t get me wrong Bones was great but McVay couldn’t allow that type of insubordination no matter how good of coach Bones was.
Definitely need some more speed at the corners and linebackers position that’s what makes special teams effective. Evan’s definitely had a brain fart on that punt. He’s capable of much better but sometimes he kicks some really shitty punts and the one Shaheed returned was one of the worst ever. Rams need to bring some competition in in the offseason.
