But realistically unless a statement of change is released and I know about the the viral loads etc. but realistically as of now the Rams do not have players to field a complete team rt? And people need a rest right? Where the union at lol

Well seems to me like this is never going to end. Covid is basically a new flu. We'll be dealing with it forever. So why not just get really stupid and call the season off and cancel the next season too. Give everyone time to get their heads around the fact that this stuff is here to stay. :clinkingbeer:

I'm with you on that. That's why I'm saying the NFL is botching this. Unfortunately it may come at the Rams and Browns expense. However again that said if they still hold strong do the Rams have enough bodies to field a team. Last I heard we were up to 25 on list and still have Friday and Saturday to go.

Just don't see the point of the NFL keeping players out due to mild symptoms or none at all.

Been reading about the new ways players can get OFF the Covid list. Below, an article detailing the new testing rules.

EDIT: The acronym CT stands for "Cycle Threshold", as detailed below.

Here's a relevant excerpt:

"There are now three ways for a vaccinated player to return under the new protocols:

• Two PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests that are either negative or produce a CT value of 35 or greater.

• One PCR test that is either negative or produces a CT value of 35 or greater, and a negative Mesa test result taken with 24 hours of the PCR test. (Mesa tests usually return results in less than an hour.)

• Two negative Mesa tests.

According to NFL chief medical officer Dr. Allen Sills, previous NFL test analysis has shown that players with CT values at the level of 35 or higher do not transmit COVID-19 and thus would not be contagious."

Gonna be interesting to see if some Rams players come off the list in the next few days. Sure as heck hope the list doesn't grow...

I am coming to this thread to get information on Rams players regarding their Covid status. Can we please stop with the Israeli-Palestinian bickering over which side is right. There are many many many other forums for that. Or better yet turn on your TV, set it to the channel that opposes your view and scream at your tv.

I do that whenever any dumbshit politician comes on (and I feel all of them are dumbshits)

Is that considered political? If so - delete. But I am just going for humor here lol

This isn't gonna end well for us this week lol.

Pretty sure I heard something similar all day this past Monday, the same day the Rams beat the NFLs #1 team in their house.

If the Rams can overcome backups at C, RT, literally nobody at TE and the likes of Kareem Orr and David Long taking on the Cards superstar WRs, then we can beat the Seahawks too. We just need enough players to suit up.

It seems like we have a good chance of getting Ramsey, Higbee and Havenstein back in time. If we need guys to step up, they'll just have to do what they did on Monday: understanding what the inexperienced players can and can't do and trust in our best available players to carry us to victory again.

The Seahawks are maybe better than their record indicates - but at the same time, they aren't the 49ers or even the Cardinals.

A loss would cripple our chances at overtaking the NFC west... but on the bright side, a lot of key players have gotten an extra week of rest at the perfect time of the season and several more appear likely to get rest time this week - considering the players are all probably asymptomatic and not missing time due to injury - this could possibly be one of those blessings in disguise.

If they dont get enough players back to have a chance and don't have time to get in walk thrus - then maybe just forfeit and keep your roster healthy.

If we really get fucked and our only options are playing with guys off the street or to forfeit.... I would lean towards the latter. I'm not sure how much an L to Seattle this week would really change our path to the SB.... but an extra week of rest might be a blessing in disguise down the stretch...

Fuck I dunno. This definitely sucks.. but good teams + adversity = a lot of good outcomes. (Remember the MNF classic against the Chiefs?) McVay has pulled off some big W's when the odds were stacked against us.

If #99 plays, I like our chances. I wouldn't want to get between him and his destiny...

I believe this is going to hit all teams harder the next few weeks.

If this is the inevitable that all teams are going to be dealing with, it really has hit us at a good time.

We play Seattle and Wilson twice a year. We know them well.
The familiarity, should help players and coaches with the game plan.

Seattle also isn't a threat to us nearly as much as AZ and SF. They aren't making the playoffs this year and won't be taking over 2nd place in the division.

Let's take our hits now and get this over with.

Agree but there was one thing about yesterday's protocol / rule / testing changes that troubled me.

This is from an ESPN article:
"Teams already in intensive protocols due to ongoing outbreaks will continue daily testing of all players and personnel -- vaccinated or not -- but the rest of the teams won't be subject to daily testing."

So the Rams, and the other six teams in Intensive Protocols, will be subject to daily testing; and that should lead to more positive results and additions to the COVID-List (nine more yesterday ... three the day before).

The other 26 teams will not be subject to daily testing. Since most positive cases are without symptoms, this sets-up the real possibility that many teams will be able to field close to full squads, with many players likely positive but untested.

It sounds to me like the NFL would prefer to NOT KNOW how many players are positive.

I might be OK with that if the Rams were one of the 26 teams not currently under Intensive Protocols.

That's some bs right there. If all these player have been asymptomatic but have tested positive, you need to test the entire league with the same testing schedule if you are going to tell those teams who tested positive that their players can't play.

That’s just garbage giving competitive advantage to select teams. It should be all or none.

Agree.
I attached the paragraph from yesterday’s ESPN article because it seems very unfair and manipulative by the NFL.

Bad enough having three teams with 20+ players on the COVID-List. Imagine if almost every team had that many.

Sometimes I post this stuff hoping that I am missing something, that I am wrong and another poster will set me straight. That's why I attached the excerpt from the ESPN article.
