Do we have a corner beside DWill that is eligible to play Sunday? I would think this is a huge problem. WTF are we supposed to do to cover players?? This whole thing is a disaster. The Rams-hags game, the browns game, and the WFT games need to be postponed. Period. all 3 teams are in the playoff hunt and due to something they have ZERO control over they are very badly competitively disadvantaged to the point of very little chance of winning?

Looks like the NFL just changed policies to allow vaccinated asymptomatic players to test back in with one test.

The NFL could change the rules and let asymptomatic positive players play

They won't ever go that route for obvious reasons that don't need to be stated.
Uhh, guys? Isn't that what they've already done?

No they haven't. The only change was to allow 1 negative test after 24 hrs of having no symptoms as opposed to 2 negative tests 24 hrs apart....if I read it right lol

They did. Earlier today.

That's essentially what the new rules put into place will allow, provided the player passes specific tests.

There's a memo from the NFL that explains it; and there are multiple reports on various sites.

NFL is also now laxing the rules for the return eligibility so there's a chance many of those players on the list can play.

I'm not gonna panic over something I'm not in control of.

No.

Again, read the memo (first half of page 3)

Here's an excerpt from an ESPN article that simplifies the new process:
"Under the previous protocols, a vaccinated individual who tests positive for COVID-19 has to produce two negative tests 24 hours apart before being cleared to return. The new protocols relax that requirement and could enable teams such as the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Rams and Washington Football Team to get some players back for this weekend's games.

In creating the new return-to-play protocols, the NFL and NFLPA focused on a new metric that measures the viral load of a player, known as the "cycle threshold" (CT). In essence, the CT value can measure whether a player is still contagious, even if in some cases he would still test positive on a traditional test.

That testing can begin as soon as one day after the initial positive and could significantly shorten the amount of time a vaccinated player spends away from the team facility."

Interesting.....but remember thats why I said if I read it right which I didn't because I didn't read what you just posted. Only thing I read or I should say glanced at was something on old reliable Twitter lol.....kinda don't trust the NFL to get the viral stuff right as their #1 priority is always money over health so it should be interesting to say the least because it sounds like they are saying, you can play since you are not as contagious. Slippery slope if you ask me, but I don't make the rules.

So under updated covid testing rules, then need to clear 24Hrs before kick off. So if I understand this correctly we should find out on Saturday if said players can play on Sunday.

They should just cancel the games, push back the regular season by a week, and eliminate the week off between the conference title games and the Super Bowl ... and STOP FUCKING TESTING PEOPLE THAT HAVE NO SYMPTOMS!!!

I will be curious to see how the Browns look tomorrow afternoon.

Friday afternoon will be the deadline for their Saturday game under these revised rules.

Should a fair number of Browns pass this Cycle Threshold (CT), it would bode well for the Rams.

That is essential what the new rule is if it is based on load not merely positive negative what ever the fuck that meant. Since the test doesn’t distinguish between types of corona virus according to the cdc

Yeah, I saw that after Allen2McVay posted it. NFL defenitely trying to figure out a way to not postpone games by using viral load tests. They are saying, if your not considered too contagious you can play. Crazy as this could backfire and lead to more player exposure and for the Rona to speed up its course that much more thru NFL locker rooms. Crazy times.

Man. If something doesn't change we might get completely screwed here fellas. But I'll say this if we somehow have to forfeit the game or we have to field 3/4 of backups I'll be done watching any football until the NFL changes their rules. At this point it's gone beyond dumb. But I'll hope for the best

I had a thought I was going to post but no matter how it's said it enters the realm most of us are trying so hard to stay away from.

All I will say is now 9 more players for Rams on COVID-19 list including Von Miller? I'm curious to see how this all turns out but it's ridiculous.
