Couple of things: Davante is 33 and will be 34 before next season is over. He's not in his prime and is beyond the age where most great receivers have a huge drop off. Puka has a playing style where you can count on him missing time. We desperately need another high end receiver who is ready from game one. Yes AJ Brown may or may not have an attitude problem - but Odell and Ramsey were incorrectly labeled. I think Brown is too. Sometimes super competitiveness gets mislabeled when things aren't going well. Also, Stafford throwing 40 times a game is going to provide Brown more targets than Hurts throwing 15 times a game. I think getting Brown would be a huge get.

Russini is considered the top NFL reporter these days

Brown has been rightly pissed that his QB sucks and he's working his ass off for nothing, maybe he's a hot head on top of that but his sins pale in comparison to many other WR's out there. Bring him in for the right price.

Eh, I dunno, I can see the Rams having a bad game and him blowing his stack on the sidelines. I just don't want drama within the rams org. They've done a really good job keeping guys in line, but that's mostly because we usually win week to week. Maybe you're right but there's being a professional and he just isn't that from what I've seen.

Could you imagine Puka and AJ having a post game interview together after the Rams blowing a 16 point lead in the 4th quarter????? :dizzy:

There would be 10 threads on it here on ROD with each having 20 pages to it :laugh2:

Don't know a lot about him. From what I do know it seems like he's not the we not me kinda player McVay covets. His problem in Philly stems from frustration over not getting enough passes thrown his way. With Puka and Adams I can't see his ego being ok with being the WR3.

LOL, Brown would clearly be WR2 with us. Adams 3.

Ramsey and OBJ were considered problems OFF the field. AJ Brown is considered a problem ON the field. Big difference.

Puka WR1
AJ Brown WR2
Devante WR3

Then, we got some other options we could go for at pick 13: Love (RB), Sadiq (TE), Styles or Rodriguez (LB), Banks (DT) (Although, pick 13 would probably be toast in order to get Brown).

After pick 13, all depth pick for future!
So you are suggesting the eagles would not ask for #13 in the trade? I could be interested in that. I was of the opinion, that would be required, in which case I'm out. We need some cost controlled weapons too.

No, I mentioned #13 would probably be toast and used in part to get A.J. But, was just tossing out a perspective if we did keep #13 and used other picks, future pics to get A.J.

At best I could see it as an all in move. Trade 13 for Brown & 23. Probably behaves for a year, but blows up after that as Nacua gets 70% of the targets.

Just keep 13

I agree

Plus I get tired of all the threads about Puka's extra curricular activities off the field..... It's like he has twenty additional moms around here.

People said the same thing about Ramsey when there were rumors that we were going to get him, that are being said here. Turned out it work out for us, same might be with Brown. Yet I dont see how we afford him and I dont think hes going to want to share touches with 2 other receivers in front of him. I wouldn't.
You can add OBJ and Suh to that list

I don't think that will happen just based on what they've done so far and us in position to take a WR at 13 but if it did I would be ok with it because of how this organization works and how McVay operates. He would eat with Stafford at QB. Now, if Stafford retires and he's here with a rookie or someone less competent after this season I would start to wonder how he would be going forward but this team has no qualms pulling the ripcord on problems so wouldn't care.

If Stafford has Nacua, Brown and Adams he's playing at least 2 and probably 3 years. JMO

I remember Ramsey and OBJ having meltdowns on the sidelines. Pre-Rams, their reputations as teammates were awful. I don't recall Brown having any issues before this past season where they oddly forgot he was on the team.

I haven’t heard Puka say a single thing that I had a problem with after any loss we’ve ever had. Actually, I’ve been quite impressed with his demeanor after some tough losses.

I don't either.... I think he's a cool cat.
