I don't think that will happen just based on what they've done so far and us in position to take a WR at 13 but if it did I would be ok with it because of how this organization works and how McVay operates. He would eat with Stafford at QB. Now, if Stafford retires and he's here with a rookie or someone less competent after this season I would start to wonder how he would be going forward but this team has no qualms pulling the ripcord on problems so wouldn't care.
I don't think we'll trade 13 if we get him. Made a 2nd this year and next though. At that point, I could see the Rams trading back from 13 to recoup picks unless someone falls into their lap that they didn't expect.

A) How would we afford him? We NEED the cap room to resign our own guys, one of which is the best WR in the league.
B) Why would we want him?
C) Why not just draft an actual young WR at 13 for that 3rd WR spot and save a TON of money.

Hard for me to believe this rumor. Perhaps before we inked the top paid CB in the NFL, not now.

Severely unlikely anyone we draft would be as good as Brown.

There also is unlikely to be someone there with his skillset, which would replace Davante perfectly after this season.

We have so much cap space next year, we could afford him and Puka no problem.

It would make sense IF we plan on going with a rookie QB, to give him easily the best WR duo in the NFL.

No thanks, If Stafford throws it to Puka too much and he's not getting as many targets he'll starting complaining. He did it I want to say 3 seasons ago when Davonta Smith had better numbers than him to start the season, never mind the fact they were undefeated he needed the ball more. I had Smith on my high dollar fantasy team and sure enough Smith got less targets right after Brown said that.

Your last line worries me:

I'm hoping that Stafford stays healthy and will want to play three more season. With what has been transpiring with recent free agent pickups, I truly believe we can get at least two more trophies in three years...... We have been soooooo damn close the last two years.

Personally, I'd rather have Lemon or Tyson straight up then AJ, who is older and disgruntled. You mean to tell me that he wouldn't be upset if Puka was dominating catches? I'm not sure what AJ's cap hit is, but I bet its very large.
It's not that bad after Philly absorbs the remaining prorated signing bonus amounts in trade. It looks like approx $13 mil this year.

I doubt a rookie WR would have the impact Brown would.

Sounds like the Rams (McVay) feel he'd fit in so I'm good with us getting him.
Hmmmm..... I really don't follow player off field issues unless players are getting tossed in jail or committing felonies.

But the dood is a good WR with tons of NFL experience.

So we then get a QB with our 13th pick?

Sometimes super competitiveness gets mislabeled when things aren't going well.
This here. This super competitiveness is what Snead and McVay refer to as passion or love for football, and what they always cite when they say someone is a "We not me" player.

If they're after him, they must think he adds that dog mentality to the team.

(To his credit) McVay is the king of optimism and would probably think Charles Manson would fit in if he could help get us another trophy.

Shit is definitely going down right now. AJ is becoming a strong possibility...

I’m torn on AJ. Great talent and huge body for staff. But AJ seems to really take a step back last year. Spots of his usual greatness among a lot of poor effort & performance. Maybe that was his attitude and the frustration with coach/QB. I’d worry though him hitting an early fall off cliff.

I’m also more of the belief that we need to add speed to the offense.

Ok. Just screwing around here, but what about:

This year's 2nd and next year's 1st for Brown, then draft Love with our #13! (or Sadiq).
