Love the pickup! Liked the kid as a project out of the draft and think it could be a good signing long term.

Or ... that Mannion may become trade fodder next year and Allen could become the next developmental QB for the team to grow. jmo.

I really like Allen. Love this move! Id rather we take a chance on a young developmental guy than bring back the Orlovsky's of the world who give nothing with no upside at all.

The 4th Q of game 2 of the pre-season..........he looks decent enough to stach on the practice squad for now.

I like this a lot. I guess they wanted a qb with smaller hands than Goff. Haha

I gave you a hi-five on this post..........because it is represented by a tiny little hand.

Im so clever LOLOL.

He looks at least as good as Goff.... Just sayin'

At least as good? So you think he is better?

WTF?

If your pocket starter goes down these types can have some temporary success.

Good point Mojo, a guy who can run when he doesn't know what else to do can have some OK games and do enough to not lose/help win.

I'm not reading too much into this more than just a replacement for Orlovsky.

The Rams need a #3 QB. They were planning on bringing back Orlovsky. Unexpectedly, Allen becomes available on the waiver wire, so Olson (who worked with Allen) recommends him to the staff. Done.

Allen is a big upgrade over Orlovsky and that's all any move has to be: an improvement to the roster. The Rams just got better.

At least that's how I see it.

I have to ask LOL.

Or is it like Whoa pig.

I'm confused..........

Woo Pig Sooie!
Razorbacks

There is only one Razorback in college football and with them comes the most unique chant in the NCAA.

Woo Pig! Go Hogs Go!

There's your connection. That plus Allen has good movement in the pocket for the WCO so he is a better fit in some ways than Mannion. Where he's not a fit is arm strength, he's not going to stretch the field very well. But I did like Allen coming out of Arkansas.

I am surprised by 3 QBs though. Going to be interesting to see where this goes.
Allen can spin it. In an apples to apples comparison at the combine, I thought his release, accuracy, and velocity was better than most there. He throws a tight spiral, and he is an above average runner, although he is not a fast guy.

The dude improved every year as a QB, and that is a good thing for a developmental guy.
