Several posters thought Thomas and/or Bruss would pass through waivers (if cut), and make it to the PS.
I def thought Bruss would make PS and that Thomas was the better guard so mildly surprised they went the other way.

Not shocked Thomas got picked up at all.

My hope is that they see Bruss's runway is a bit longer than Thomas's and now that it looks like his confidence, technique and injury are all better they think he can still improve.

I think Thomas improved since last year, I mean he essential was a free 6th rd pick. The bears drafted him cut him, we got him and built him up a bit, but I think Bruss might be more long term homegrown solution if ya know what I mean.

I had no particular poster in mind when I made that comment. I just remembered thinking it was odd that some posters were so sure when it only takes one team to like and want to claim a waived player; plus the simple fact that almost every team needs/wants O-Linemen.

Y'all gotta remember nobody jumped fully clothed into a swimmin' pool when we picked up Zach Thomas.
Just sayin'.....

I think may be one of those moves where they kick the tires and he is cut later and put on the PS as a long term developmental player.
Thomas played too well in the preseason to not land somewhere.
Bummed he is leaving after the Rams developed him, but, he deserves to be on a 53.
