C'mon Bro, you really think Jimmy G is sub Top 32?

As much as I hate the 9ers, and jimmy grabmypole by extension, no way there’s 32 better starting QBs in the league. That’s just silly. He would be an instant upgrade on several teams.
He could stay in the division and start on the seahawks tomorrow.

Commodes, texans, g-men, to name a few others.

Perhaps this is a comment for a different thread, but I really hope we don't keep 3 QBs on the 53.

From what I understand the only reason we did last year was because of the plague.

Now that most of us have survived do we really need two guys holding clipboards? To reiterate @André point before this thread went into circus mode, if Stafford goes down it's not going to help to have a QB3. Mine as well use the punter at that point.

We ride or die with Stafford's elbow.

It was easy to invest in those teams....Pete the Cheat had to get used to a smaller salary cap in the NFL.
What people keep forgetting about USC is that they were not caught giving any money to players.

NCAA did not find one scrap of evidence that USC paid their players.

No - USC got busted for letting their players free reign on Campus. They basically let the players do anything they wanted to.

That included letting agents on the sidelines at games.

Plus they did not know Bush was getting outside help by an agent. Bush's parents were staying at a house paid for by an agent at Lake Elsinore which is a 3 hour drive from the USC campus. The NCAA felt USC should have known and benched Bush during the championship game.

What they did was not good but their sanctions were too severe for their actions.

Lol - bottom 10?

What is the value of a good starting QB. Did you just see what Cleveland gave Watson?

The best thing of it all I don’t really give a crap about other teams.I love the NFL & keep up with it,but it doesn’t bother me.

I’m a Rams Fan. I actually really like the Chargers & will go to SOFI this season for a game though.

The best thing that I like about the Jimmy G thing & the breakup of he & Fruity Kittles. Jimmy G is not the smartest QB & proof is him dating that Older Porn Star.

You’d think with all the money Kraft,Watson, & Jimmy G have they wouldn’t have to pay for it.

My question & it will always go back to say Al Davis & Russell,Cam Newton & Sam Bradford. The Niners trading up for Lance is the kicker.

What is a rookie QB worth with no NFL experience? Then what does it do to a franchise & how long does it take to win?

Gosh NE got lucky & The G.O.A.T is pretty awesome. Jimmy G learning from him & going to Cleveland? Well I’d say a QB has 3 weeks to learn a new offense & time is ticking.I don’t know how long it takes to get ready. Don’t want to go back in history to give examples.

There is some value to having a backupnQB that know the offense. Sean Mcvay showed that with Wolford when he went all in & Jared Goff became a ME PLAYER!! Next thing you know The Rams have a WE player in Matthew Stafford.

Yeah bottom 10 because if he did not have a run game like the 49ers do, he would be completely crap.

And I am sticking with that.

Of course. See this is thinking with the head instead of the heart.

EDIT: found a video about the Rams 1979 season, and it sounds like Ferragamo suffered a broken hand in the middle of the season. So I think it's the case that Ferragamo wasn't fully healed by week 11, so he had to wait until week 12 for his first start. If anyone can confirm this, feel free to chime in.
Actually I think I remember that Ferragamo was indeed injured. It was a long time ago for sure.

Vince Ferragamo was injured back in 1979 and the Rams had to go with rookie Jeff Rutledge week 11 against the Chicago Bears. After the Rams added veteran QB Bob Lee that was able to lead them over the Minnesota Vikings in week 14 overtime victory.

Many thought the Rams would stick with Lee, but the Rams went back to Ferragamo the following week against Atlanta and Ferragamo took the 79 Rams the rest of the way into the Super Bowl against the Pittsburgh Steelers with their befuddled & unkept Head Coach Raymondo Giuseppi Giovanni Baptiste Malavasi.

Ray Malavasi was such a terrible head coach

He basically inherited a Super Bowl team and took them to the SuperBowl with a below par 9 7 record and then ruined them in the next few years before the Rams brought in John Robinson

Yeah, I was not a big fan of Ray. He was a very good defensive coach, coming up with the 7 DB's against Dallas in the playoff game was genius (Bud Carson was his DC then) however, very unorganized and just always gave me the impression he was aloof.

The reason IMO that Carroll Rosenbloom hired him was because he was the only leftover from Chuck Knox's staff and Rosenbloom felt that George Allen was such a mistake, he fired Allen and promoted Malavasi to please the masses. Bill Walsh should have been hired over George Allen in 78 and things would have been so different.

Funny story, that Malavasi once did a radio interview in the morning and while they were introducing him, Malavasi fell asleep and when they went to him they could hear him snoaring. (True Story).

I think I read it wrong. Where does that put Lance?

As Goff stated though about QB’s having enough time to adjust from college to the NFL.
I like what Mills did as a rookie in Houston out of Stanford. Not sure if he gets enough credit, but he is the type of player that The Rams can draft & develop in the future.

Dak
Wilson
Mills
are examples of finding in the 3rd rd,but The Rams have so many needs
that they don’t have that luxury.

If you want to believe that, sure.
Also, Brady and Bill didn't know the balls were being deflated or other teams practices being recorded.
They know....they always know.
Knowing they know and proving they know are two different things, ya know?
Funny to think Alex Smith and Reggie Bush went to Helix High in San Diego at the same time....what a backfield.

If I recall they had a ton of injuries early that year so they got off to a slow start. I remember Dwayne Osteen playing CB. For some reason I remember seeing that in a nationally televised game that year because he was horrible.

They will have three 5ths next yr and possibly two 3rds (if Morris gets a job) and multiple 6ths & 7ths...

So they will have the ammo to move up into the 4th (don't have a 4th) or move back from the 3rd and get extra picks and use one on a QB.

So I think next yr they grab a guy just for the fact that I believe Wolford will be going into his last yr next season.

Will be interesting to see what happens. It’s hard to think that far away right now.Wolford has been with The Rams for awhile now. Sean Mannion is still with the Vikings

Bush forfeited his Heisman trophy because he was truly guilty of all the accusations and more. That said, what people dont know or often talk about, is how Bush has gone on in life. On top of giving up the trophy, which I think they should give back btw, he has continued to work with the NCAA on educating players to the perils of hand outs, freebies etc. I'll always hate him for the "Bush Push", but will always respect him as one of the best college football players I ever saw, and continue to respect him for the man he is.
