I'd force their offense to beat me through the air by over defending the run. Keep their QB in the pocket... don't over pursue trying to get a sack.

I heard them on the radio this morning saying it's gonna be very cold and snowing. That makes passing even more difficult. So sell out on stopping the run game of their's.

I agree 100%. I think we should be in Cover 1 or Cover 3 and use that extra safety in the box / bracket TE. If Hurts can beat that, then they deserve to win. But, like you, I don`t think he can.
Yep. If he somehow plays like prime Rodgers then I'll shrug my shoulders.

fuck we can't afford to not have any of those 4 guys
I think Spoon is probably the most likely to miss. The others feel like resting bumps and bruises. They all played the whole game I believe.

Edit: not Higbee but they already said he'll play.

The Eagles LT, Jordan Mialata, was on local radio talking about the first Rams game. I was a little surprised that he said that gane was the most physical game that he has ever played in. Said he was a little sore after that one. He said very positive things about the Rams D line.

I believe he lined up across from Verse a lot. So kind of telling that he talked of the physicality of the game and who was likley responsible for that.
Rams fans should be very excited at what should scare the hell out of the rest of the league—he’s still developing.

He’s in beast mode now, overpowering guys at the point of attack. Just wait until he starts learning a couple of finesse/pass rush moves , using his hands.

Verse is big enough, strong enough, and mean enough to POTENTIALLY be the Deacon Jones of the 21rst century.

What do you guys think; what are the keys to victory against Philly?
I'm not putting this game on the defense.
The key? Score points on offense.
You can't 'stop Barkley' but you have to contain him. Making strong tackles. Keeping those 35 and 40 yards run a wish. But the offense can help in that containment, building a lead that eventually takes him out of the game.
I'm not putting a huge and at times. impossible assignment on the defense.
Put the freakin ball in the end zone on offense and watch Siriani panic.

Supposed to be 35 degrees as the high which is usually around 3 PM - depends on how hard the snow flurries are

35 degrees is not too bad to play in unless there is a strong wind.

  • Rams have the better head coach and QB. Those 2 things are huge in games like this. Why does KC keep winning super bowls, look no farther than the Coach and QB combo.
  • Eagles O-line is the strength of their team. The Rams Defensive front is the strength of the defense and hopefully good enough to marginalize that strength this time. Strength vs strength
  • With Havenstein back and the line having gelled, I think our Rams line is the most underrated part of the team. Add to that Philly is down 2 key players in the front 7. I like the match-up here. In addition I expect more 12 personnel this time around. Rams need to bully the eagles defensive front.
Rams seem to be peaking at the right time. The win vs Minnesota was the Rams largest margin of victory all year.
The wet niners game and the cold Jets came were good prep for what is to come in philly this weekend.

I was not impressed by Philly against the packers. With all of the breaks that went their way I would have expected a much larger margin of victory.

Seems that all of the pundits are picking Philly to win - They did the same with Minnesota.

Even Cam Akers got loose for 25-30 yards the other day. :eyeroll:
Gonna have to control that crap....
