Jayden Daniels is having the best season for a rookie QB ever despite whatever happens next week. Sensational.
Daniels is impressive so far.

Kurt Warner was Magical. Regular season and Super Bowl MVP.

Not a rookie as a technicality but first full year for sure.

First year as a starter is a separate category. I do recall recall Mahomes went for 50 TD's and 5,000 yards his first year as a starter and came up short in the Offsides game. (That's back when Tom Brady got all the calls lol.)

Yeah, I would put Kurt's first year over it. Mahomes changed the position and the way defenses play him.

The GSOT changed the game. The GSOT is known as the godfather of modern NFL offense and Marshall Faulk is still the greatest all purpose back ever. Nobody was all around better.

Jayden Daniel's season isn't even close to Mahomes or Warner's first season. That's why it's strictly the best season for a rookie QB, a much lower bar.

Shoot, I remember Sam Bradford had a record setting rookie year. The bar has been raised a lot.

Kurt Warner didn't get all kinds of phantom roughing the QB calls to keep drives alive.

.

Mahommes played the game the right way early in his career. Now he has turned into Tom Brady. He's insufferable.

Couple points here...

1. As great as he was Kurt he isn't what you would consider a mobile QB. In order to draw a flag for a late hit out of bounds or a late hit on a slide you have to attempt a slide or actually get to the sideline. That wasn't part of his game.

2. It is true the league put an emphasis on player safety that was not in place during Kurt's era. It's been mentioned many times and is well documented. To single out one player over every other seems unfair.

Silly discussion, for one Warner was nowhere near a rookie, other than that cheesy Hallmark movie about him.
As a first year starter, its Warner by a landslide and not even close
Warner takes over a team that only won 4 games, and the QB's threw a total of 12 TD passes. Warner eclipsed that TD total in 3.5 games.
Became only the 2nd player in the history of the league to throw 40 td's, at the time was a mythical number held by only Marino
Became first QB to throw for 400 yards in SB history, shattering the record of 357
Only 10th guy to be MVP and SB MVP in same year, and only 1 in their first year
Yeah not even close
Best Rookie Season? Hard to argue against Daniels
Best 1st year? Warner by a landslide
GOAT? Mahomes

Rams are 2-1 vs the Eagles in the postseason.

1949 NFL championship: Eagles 14 Rams 0.

Eagles' HOF RB Van Buren ran for almost 200 at the muddy coliseum. Eagles won 2 straight championships. They beat the Cardinals 14-7 in a snow game in 1948.

1989 NFC wild card: Rams 21, Eagles 7.

Greg Bell had a great game and so did HOFer Jackie Slater on HOFer Reggie White in cold Philadelphia. Rams silenced cocky HC Buddy Ryan.

2001 NFC Championship: Rams 29, Eagles 24

Marshall, Marshall, Marshall!

Doesn’t anybody wonder, just how many snow games philly has played in say, the last 5 seasons?

How do we know the weather will be such a huge advantage? I suppose older players like Stafford and Havenstein might need oil, but the Rams have a lotta youth on those older big bodies of philly.

Probably based on the fact they have the o line and the back to just grind it out on the ground.

I know that’s no joke. That is a tough OL and barkley can be a beast, but…

The last time the eagles played on a snow covered field at home was in 2013 against Stafford! I doubt there is anybody left from that eagle team. Stafford might be the only person playing today with experience on that field under today’s conditions.
