there’s nothing funnier than outright homer beat writers
Yep. Also since when has the media overthought anything. :laugh3:

Barkley is what makes that offense special. Remove him and we beat these fuckers. So how do we nullify the bastid. He is playing on a different level right now but containing him is absolutely crucial.

I'd jam that LOS up. Load that bitch and have your ILB flowing to make the stop when Saquon squirts through. It's gonna be tough but this defense will never get off the field without containment of Barkley.

The Eagles are going to miss Pro Bowl-level LB Nakobe Dean and the veteran DE Brandon Graham--There's no way around it. With the Rams peaking-- this game won't be easy for the Eagles.

Neville Gallimore played the game of his life last week, and he's gonna have to keep it up against Philly.

Last time around Braden Fiske saw his snaps go down against PHI, since he's better vs the pass than the run.

Our big NT's in Gallimore and BB3 have to step up.

Snaps from last game vs. PHI:

On Sunday, Shawn Smith will officiate the matchup between either the Los Angeles Rams or Minnesota Vikings against the Philadelphia Eagles at 3 p.m. ET on NBC.

I’d actually like us to receive the ball in this game. If we can get a quick score and defensive stop, I don’t think Philly wants to become one dimensional and resort to passing. That’s not their game plan.

On defense I’d like to see us go one high and add Hummel or JJIII in the box on most downs. I’d rather lose daring Hurts to beat us with his throws.
Our best chance is to slow down the run and contain Hurts in the pocket. I don't think his arm is as much a threat as his legs. Make Barkley work hard for every yard. Do that and we have a chance to limit them to field goals instead of TD's. Our offense has to be on. We're not holding them to under ten points in this one.

Our previous game vs. the Eagles saw them thwart our pass rush...which left us vulnerable to the run. So I think .....after seeing Shula put together some new looks with pressure coming from the secondary....I'm hopeful we can make an impact on defense this weekend. Phily has some injuries on defense hopefully that we can exploit..

It's going to be a battle, but honestly we're playing free.....and a young team playing free can make things happen.

I am not as worried about the pass rush. We won't get much heat on Hurts, but the key is to not let him leave the pocket with back breaking 3rd down conversions on 3rd and long.

They should use Lake or Curl or Kinchens to spy Hurts. Let Kinchens lay him out once or twice. He might be hesitant to take off next time.

No turnovers and make them earn every yard. Jayden Daniels lit them up for 4 second half TDs a few games ago. Stafford can light them up if we protect him.

Talk is cheap, let them do all the talking they want. The Rams team I saw last night is legit.

I didn’t read thru this entire thread so sorry if I repeat another post.

Packers lost the game (4 turnovers, fumbled opening kickoff lead to TD, costly penalties/injuries) as much as the Eagles won the game.

Eagles have arguably best OL/DL combo in the NFL and Saquon is a threat to break one on any run but Hurts looked below average and they may have some key injuries. I like Rams chance if they do well in the red zone on offense and get after Hurts on defense.

Oh…and fuck you Siriani…you smug dirtbag.

Can't help but think Siriani (and Campbell too for that matter) will cost their team in a big situation with their bullshit.

So why not this week...
