I was 11. My grandparents were gone but there were four sets of aunts and uncles, with nine cousins.

Typical Italian Holiday Dinner ... start-off with a huge Antipasto, followed by a full Italian meal featurning lasagna, ravioli of macaroni (not called pasta back then ... at least not in my family), meatballs, sausage and braciola (can't easily find a good braciola these days).

Then came the Main Course ... varied ... could be Roast Beef, Ham, Roast Pork or even another Turkey ... but it didn't matter ... everyone was so full from what came before, we just looked at the Main Couse ... with trimmings of course ... admired it, complimented it ... and, commented how good it would be as left-overs.

That Game was so entertaining. Everyone was going crazy. I was the youngest in the room; and was enjoying my father, uncles and cousins as much as that great game. Future Hall of Famer, Jan Stenerud missing multiple field goals was brutal. Great Memory. Miss those people ... few are still around.

Also miss the braciola ... View attachment 76621

... oh, I really like this undrafted free agent safety Nick Andersen.

Grew up on the whole "Sunday Sauce" thing with tons of Italian family around, myself. Would add, my favorite of the meats, just after the braciola, sausage, and meatballs are the spare ribs/pork chunks in the red sauce. Orgasmic.

Observations?

We sat all of our starting and most of our backup talent today.
But I could swear I saw a considerable amount of talent out there today.
Great start for the kid.
Xavier looks like he knows he has to fight for his job and damn if he ain't fighting like hell.
Would have liked to see more targets for Daniels but clearly, he a Klare were #1 and #2 option.
Like the RBs, all 3 of them but surely we'll only be able to keep 1 if Rivers makes the 53.
Can we find a way to keep Redman too?
That McPhearson guy hasn't played in 3 years and almost has a pick?
I don't know how many roster spots are up for grabs but McVay is going to have some tough decisions to make, which is awesome.

Let's see if things get even better in Game#2.

I'm not going to give a whole lot of credence to Simpson's great game same as I wouldn't a stinker being preseason game 1. But it's nice that it was a good game so I don't have to listen to morons online flipping out and yelling "i told you so" because a rookie stunk in his first preseason game. Now the haters can be scared that the Rams may have actually known what they were doing for a week.

Yeah its super early but a great start. Let's hope Simpson keeps stacking good days. It'll be interesting to see how the preseason continues to unfold after this game.

Can still remember the absolute MORONS of the world deeming Goff "a bust" due to him getting strip-sacked on his first play in his first preseason game.
