Just to set the record straight, I have never said one thing for or against Carberry.
I have! I thought Carberry was okay OL Coach, however, running the ball was not his forte. That was true at Stanford too, his OL's were fine with pass blocking, but struggled with a consistent run game. Overall I expect the new OL Coach to be Austin King and King is a former Offensive Lineman in the league so I believe McVay is looking for that in his next OL Coach.

You did say that playing Evans and Kolone caused Stafford to get hurt, so that's not exactly a ringing endorsement either
I am not sure who made the final decision on Evans or Kolone so not going to put down Carbarry because he may not have wanted to keep those guys and McVay overruled him.

Unfortunately we will never know.

What's to wonder?

Offensive Assistant, Zak Kromer, 7th season

Father Aaron Kromer was once McVay’s offensive line coach. Zak Kromer has worked with McVay for his entire Rams career.

Injuries suck. And with the injuries we had - Carbarry never had a chance.
Well it is what it is. I would sort of say the opposite & that the big injures was that stopped The Rams from winning.
I for some reason was not a fan.

Tell me this one though. Who was helping Careberry & what happened there? Did he have any day in anything for The Rams?
How David Edwards regressed was a-shame imo.

The question is what group will he coach & or is he going to be just assigned offensive some kind of assistant coach
He doesn’t coach special teams or defense. So weather he has been with Mcvay for 7 seasons or not that still leaves the question, unless you think he could be a special teams coach?

Special Teams Coordinator - OPEN

McVay fired Joe DeCamillis too and will need a new special teams coordinator. McVay fired John Fassel in 2020, then fired replacement John Bonamego in 2021, so he will have his third special teams coordinator in four years.

I think this past season demonstrated the impact of the Rams constantly needing to reload their staff. It's bullshit. Even Staley is a great example of this. That dude was nowhere near ready to be a head coach. We should have been able to get a fucking year two out of him.

Rams should have been in the NFL's ear about rules being created to protect coaches like McVay. There should be a limit to how many staff members can be poached in a given offseason. Where's the owner and front office in looking out for their coach.

McVay clearly has a good eye for staff but he's not gonna get them all right. So the guy is working uphill more than his peers due to the rockstar status he carries where owners all want a piece of him. It's bullshit.

Oh and btw I realize our ST coaches have not been poached. Just that reading that made me think about what horse shit it is that he's had his staff raided year after year.

Let's tell it like it is; Coach Mac should NEVER have fired John Fassel.
I don't think he had a decent reason why he did and here we are years later still searching for a decent coach.

If you are referring to the melt down of the Dallas kicker you are barking up the wrong tree. And if you're trying to blame Coach Fassel for his struggled you don't know what you're talking about.

Fassel's legacy with the Rams easily reveals how superior of a ST coach he was. This is easily proven by the fact we are STILL trying to replace him.

Think before posting is the best policy. Learn it, love it....

We will never know why he fired Fassel but I suspect it had to do with that fake punt call that McVay didn't know about. He was pissed.

That and with the offer from Dallas, they just agreed to mutually part ways. Overall, McVay retained Fassel, so maybe he just wanted someone else and maybe Fassel really wanted the Dallas job and McVay felt if he wanted to leave, that was fine.

Be interested to see where McVay goes this time, I expect somebody from college to an assistant ST Coach somewhere because of the last two although DeCamillis did improve things over John Letgoofmyego.

You can grab onto his legacy.Yes kicking & punting at least with confidence has something to do with it.Greg the Leg is still missing kicks with the Jets though.
I guess Les Snead is the HERO then ? This Gay guy has been amazing.Findingnplayers on the street as well was cool to see as well.Punters ? The Rams got a draft pick for the back in 2021.

Against the 9ers in a -0–3 game the kicker missed a extra point making the score 6-3 Dallas. If you don’t think emotionally that didn’t have a psycho effect on Dallas?

If you saw The Rams the last couple of seasons you’d also know depth & players have a big part of it as well.

-I’ve seen Bones coach & how he did things with The Rams..I also know he liked Nick Scott who in his last season with The Rams was a core special teams player.RR31 is not that kind of player as an example,so eat all those Dallas cowoaddues if you want to think it’s all bones..
Coach-Dean makes a goood point about the relationship as well,so if you want to bark up that tree go ahead.
IMO coach Joe did alright when The Rams won the SuperBowl.I don’t know about Hoecht & what his job was,but was great to see him on the field in 2021 (teams) & Someone knowing Cooper Kupp shouldn’t be the PR guy bringing in Powell.
I wonder about Zach Taylor & his special teams coach then?
