Best reply ever!I hope to god our coach doesn’t need to ask our players who he should start.. how weak would that look

Four weeks ago he played a hell of a lot better against the same team Wolford just put up nine points against.Oh, please tell me what Goff has done for the Rams, lately. You seem to come off like some sort of Goff apologist.
If you take a step back and look at the Rams' QB position what we need to do in this year's playoffs is determine if Goff is the guy going forward. Because the Rams paid him that big contract to lock him up. So he has to play when he's available to go. This is his moment IMO.Goff is the Rams QB for the future but the conversation on this season's Goff performance & the lack, IMO of current value to this team overall in what he brings to the field @ that unbelievably high cost is debatable anytime with me.
I like what you said until the part about getting rid of Goff. You don't do that without evaluation. No doubt Goff's play this year makes you scratch your head...but I don't think it goes that far. There's something we don't know...kinda like the Gurley departure.I think the Rams should let Wolford play behind Goff again next year while Goff's contract is putting a strangle hold on the team's cap. After next year get rid of Goff, when the cap hit lessens, and let Wolford compete for the starting job.
Ok, and who would that be?
Goff: 3 turnovers in last 4 games
Wolf: 1 turnover in 1 game
So put you down for Goff? *checkWith Seattle weather, I'd say the one with bigger hands, healthy thumbs, who can escape pressure the best.
If he starts itI personally had no problem with Wolford fighting for the 1st down in that situation. It’s a must win game and a chance to punch your ticket. Also, he’s a backup with little tape to show what he can do. The fight he showed there and the ability to get the first down vs two defenders is going to fire up the team and also increase confidence in him.
If he’s your franchise QB and it’s not a do or die game I would discourage him from those Types of plays.
The play book sure opened up with Wolford. The eye test told me he gets mcvays system and can read defenses. He has good coaches, no reason he can't help the rams. Goff has had plenty of chances to put life in the team. He didn't impress ( win games) when called on. Why would now be any different?Wow showing an extra-large pair of walnuts Ramstien with this post! Most here will not take you seriously as you see the laughs pop up but you are right on your thoughts on Goff's contract & the serious effect it places on this team being able to sign any UFA's this season or next & the Rams bench is lacking almost any talent coming up. Most here with blinders just do not see this. Never will.
Goff is the Rams QB for the future but the conversation on this season's Goff performance & the lack, IMO of current value to this team overall in what he brings to the field @ that unbelievably high cost is debatable anytime with me. While Aaron Donald, & Jalen Ramsey have proven to be worth those top-end contracts .......the immobile pocket passer with poor ball-handling abilities while under pressure Goff........... has failed @ this point to be worth the overall cost to maintain him.
Currently, I am hoping that Goff is seeing a UDFA rookie QB who plays for a few bits of $$ come in & win a game against the Cards who were fighting for a playoff spot, will get him back to what we saw in 2018. There is real true value for this Ram Org of having a QB like Wolford. One thing you get with Wolford is some running yardage & a half dozen first downs from him doing that. The first time we have seen that in a long long time! With the Rams lacking any kind of a real threat of a running game, the immobile Goff is sure to suffer more injuries as time goes on with McVay force to pass the ball almost every down.
Sometimes players are better coming off the bench. It's not a bad idea. IMHO. Go ramsSlightly hurting? We’re in week 18 in the NFL everyone’s everything is slightly hurting. You’re seriously suggesting we sit Goff for Wolford and bring Goff back in the 2nd half if we’re loosing? Why would we do that? Would the same Goff you sat now have a better chance to bring our team a comeback win? If that’s the case why wouldn’t we start him?
No offense, my opinion is based off what I’ve watched of him. In the AAF, in college a few times, and now with the Rams. So being in my late 40’s, having played and tracked football since my early teens I’ll trust my opinion over your objection.we really have no idea about wolford... he played one game so to make any conclusions is just a guess.
I’m sure Pete Carroll is hoping you’re rightI’d like to offer up the END of the Goff vs Wolf debate on who starts for hawks game. Jared cannot be 100% in 2 weeks, can he? Throwing thumb?McVay will NEVER tell you anything other than Goff not 100%. Wolf will get the start, you’ll rally behind him and like it. Are we good?
Ouch, that’s confusing.IMO, the Rams should start the QB least likely to turn the ball over.
Actually I guarantee you Carroll prefers to see Goff. He's coming off surgery. He's the devil they know and the guy they have their best gameplan in place for. Of course he still has to prepare for Wolford too but point is I don't think Carroll prefers to see the backup in this situation.I’m sure Pete Carroll is hoping you’re right
