Agreed. A center and a strong blocking TE or a 6th lineman like Evans on goaline attemps is needed. It’s embarrassing getting out muscled constantly.

the Bills game first series comes to mind. I believe The Rams have a center already on the roster for next season. McSnead won’t draft or sign a starting center.

Storyline of this week is whether Akers will be able to go. IMO.

Well if he does, (he) will defy the odds....high ankle sprains are almost always 4-6 weeks with emphasis on the 6.

Do the math, it's unlikely and besides what difference does it make at this juncture? This team can't make it to the conference game based upon this seasons performance....just let em go home.

Dude, come on.
Sorry bro, but when you're getting your ass handed to you by the worst team in the league and you blatantly ignore a coach who is probably trying to reverse the situation, that deserves some kind of repremand imo.

Pitiful is not making the playoffs. I'd rather be there and lose than not be there. Some of y'all need to remember what it was like to root for a losing team.

Fear not, the odds favor the "Back End Boys" backing into this thing even with a 6th (3rd straight) loss. That is unless Green Bay completely takes their game off.

Well we're gonna get our chance to see him play this weekend. I don't expect mcvay to keep things simple for him. He's been riding the bench for a couple full seasons now. He should know the entire playbook like the back of his hand. Let's see how he does before we pass any judgement. One positive I do see. if he's at least an average NFL QB he'll give us a chance to stay in games and win a couple. Not to mention it always takes a couple of games for defenses to adjust to a new QB. So that is one advantage we have, but lets see if he completely sucks or if hes somewhat capable. I'd like to watch the Rams play at least one playoff game and not finish 9-7.

Am I crazy to think JG might still play on Sunday?
It wouldn't surprise me either. Makes you wonder how effective he can be though.... That's a pretty important digit on a throwing hand.

Except you don't even know that he was ignoring the coach. You're speculating.

This is a winnable game even with a backup in there at QB. We have a strong defense, just keep it balanced and take care of the football, the Cards are not an overpowering type front that can destroy our OL it's a tough matchup for them IMO.

Yup winners want to be on playoff teams. This will be two years we don't make the playoffs.

Huh? Odds favor backing in, even after losing the last 3. :woozy:

He was trying to make a play. Obviously it didn't work out. Goff even called it one of his dumbest decisions in his football career. Whatever.

I kinda checked out of this season after the loss to the Jets. I'll watch the game against the Cardinals and whatever games if we make the post season, but those of you making jokes or celebrating Goff's injury should be ashamed of yourselves. I would use other language but I enjoy posting on this board. Dude has given everything he has to this team and took us from being perennial basement dwellers to 4 straight winning seasons and a Superbowl appearance. Get a grip.

I was just asking a question. Thank you for answering it. I live in a time zone not conducive to watching a shit product, so I turned the game off after that pick. When I read on the board that he had suffered a broken thumb I was hopeful that the injury had had something to do with it.

NEWS FLASH:

The Rams have been informed they will be required to start the same shitty Oline and TE’s when Wolford plays. This means no run game vs good defenses and random pass rushers running free into the backfield.

and now back to your regularly scheduled fake news and mostly peaceful protests

Been saying this the entire season. But I'd rather people get excited for our team than hope for a top 5 draft pick lol
Did you come into this season thinking they should be a SB favorite? Just curious.

I all along said it was a rebuilding or retooling season and thought 10-11 wins was the upside.

The Jets game is really the diff between being where that top end was and where they could fall short.

Yup, that's what we should name them....."the back in boys."

Pitiful....
They moved the Bears game to 4:25... So there would be no advantages.

The good news is the Packers need the game. I thought they wrapped up the 1 seed last night, but apparently a 3 way tie at 12-4 with NO & Seattle, and they lose the #1.

I think the element of surprise going in will help, but once teams have some film on him? His presence doesn't change the fact that our OL is still not good enough, nor does it change the lack of deep threat. McVay is going to have to move him around a lot, but mobility only takes a guy so far.

At this point, I'm in offseason mode with the way things turned out in the end. I want us to draft reliable starting linebackers, a genuine deep threat at WR, O-line depth, and maybe a backup QB that can light a fire up Goff's ass

It can be done. Kobe Bryant broke his index and ring finger on his shooting hand in the 2009-10 season. He went on to be named finals MVP.

It seems like it takes something like this for backups to get a legit shot.

These injuries are a great opportunity for McVay to show how much of a genius he supposed to be, IMO.

Wolford may know the offense, but I'd hope that there are some much needed tweaks added.

Sure Malcolm Brown will get most touches, but Wolford and both RBs Xaiver Jones & Raymond Calais have recent experience running that zone read which should open things up a bit. Jones has also run some wildcat, too. And Calais might be the fastest player on the roster.

How about incorporating some tackle eligible plays from time to time too? Years ago, the Packers replaced a TE with an OT and ran the ball down the Rams throat. Why not try the same for a few plays until the defense adjusts?
