I am a backer of Sloman but not if he misses XPs.

Just bad contact, a little wide right.
It sucked but about like his other PAT miss.

Sloman improved every year in college. I think he can do the same in the NFL.

Funny how people are pissed off at him for 2 XP misses and we should have kept GZ, who also has 2 in one less game. People point to Ficken, who was worse for us than Sloman has been. There's just no thought to the hate this guy gets. Let him as a rookie work through it. If McVay makes a change we'll support that kicker too, until then it's Slammin' Sammy time!

Or that he missed a 53 yard field goal in Buffalo that he kicked into the wind - which would've been a problem with Zuerlein. But no, his body language is terrible.

Almost always do with first year kickers. GZ got better his 2nd year then regressed again the following 2 years. People seem to forget about that. Not all rookies are pro bowlers right out the gate especially kickers.
