We don't need out kicker to be a weapon like Butker. Just a guy who makes everything inside the 40 and the XPs. That was management's thinking.

I think so. He has a nice end over end ball.

No, I meant to quote you. You're banging the drum for Blankenship but if the team doesnt have him doing kickoffs its not an indication that hes got sufficient leg strength. And if you've followed the thread, Sloman has been bashed for his KO conversion rate
I don’t really care about kick off conversion rate. Just as long as the kicker has a good FG conversion rate and Can kick 50+ yarders consistently that’s all I care about.

Sloman is 0-1 50+, 0-1 20-29 yards, 5-7 overall, and missed an XP. As of right Sloman is not good at what he is doing.

Just because he is on our team doesn’t mean he is doing a good job. Facts are facts and he is justifiably getting criticism.

I’m still at the “fingers crossed” mode with this guy. I don’t trust him yet to nail a big kick. I’m sure he’ll get a few chances to establish whether or not he can do just that.
...but I always had that feeling with gz. He missed a few critical kicks here that were entirely makable. The difference was gz COULD bomb one from 50+ anytime, anywhere.

In this league, under 40 has to be automatic. Over 50 is what separates the good from the best. The $$ kicks are 40-49, those are the kicks that make or break games. If your kicker can’t hit a high % of those...shop around.

You mean opinions are opinions
Missing a 53 yarder in to the wind, (and not by much) is only criticized by Monday Morning Quarterbacks. And if your kicker doesnt have the leg strength to kick off in a dome, it surely doesnt breed confidence in what he will do with a long kick.
Sloman had back to back really good games and the only ones who would be doubting him right now are those who were pissed the Rams kept him over "their guy"

Okay guess you want to do this. Fine.

Opinión is Sloman is 5 of 7 and Blankenship is 12 of 14 as a kicker in the NFL.

Opinión 86% FG kicker is higher than a 71% kicker.

Opinión NFL is a game of numbers.

Opinión If Blankenship, Arnold Schwarzenegger, or the head fly from Pence’s head Can kick longer field goals and quite a bit higher % conversion rate it’s fair to say that most people would ‘think’ by opinion( since there is no facts) one kicker is a better kicker.

Opinión, speaking of ‘their’ guy just because someone is wearing the horns doesn’t mean everybody that supports the Rams has to make every excuse in the world to defend them and when they get cut or let go state “ well he’s not a Ram no more...” and criticize the hell out of him or state they don’t care about him.

Those are some loose ‘opinions’ some people think.

But hey, come Sunday I’ll be rooting for our guys and ‘our’ kicker to split those bastards regardless.

Got it through 4 games we know Sloman isn't good enough to be a kicker in the NFL. How could the Rams be so damned stupid to have trusted him with the job!

Do what? Sloman is the Rams kicker. And he’s been really good the last 2 games.
i couldn’t care less what Blankenship is doing
That’s an opinion. Some people think Sam Ficken is the kicker this year.

So we're back to the guy who in his first stint with the Rams was far worse than Sloman :D
