2013 @ Panthers 30-15 Loss - Penalties 8-68 us, 7-59 them - (Bradford hurt, Long tossed)
The main problem is that the initial call will not be reversed by the league office without first consulting with the ref and what he saw as the circumstances that led to the forward progress being stopped or reached. And even then, there has to be conclusive evidence that over rules what the Ref says he saw.
Yeah, and that POS Panthers S Mitchell (forget his first name) stands over Bradford celebrating after tearing his ACL - based on an unnecessary push when Bradford was going out of bounds - and of course they did nothing. They also took away a TD pass to Tavon on a very questionable "tripping" call against Jake Long in that game (think the officials were the ones tripping, on acid).
Agreed. Take an unbiased look at the play and decide the correct call. I'm not sure there will ever be such a thing as the unbiased call or that we will get their union out of the equation but I agree with your thought on this. This is a poor policy IMO. When we can see a mistake is made they can too.
The policy should be changed to allow the people looking at the play to decide what they think the call should be after watching the reviews that we see along with the All-22 and Eye in the Sky. It should NOT be is there evidence to change the call. It should be what is the correct call.

I wouldn't mind seeing them try that.If it was done properly the people making the call on the review shouldn't know the score, time on the clock, down and distance or anything else. Judge the play in a vacuum so to speak. It's probably going to happen in negotiations for the next CBA.
They you would know that when a solid group of coaches showed up the penalties declined.
But you didn't say that.
Yet, the losses didn't decline, and we still continued to be assessed more penalty yardage than our opponents. You're basically telling us to ignore incredibly anomalous results because . . . well, I'm not sure. You haven't made much of an argument for why this is easily explainable.
What are the exact games his crew reffed?
