Say we announced we agreed to terms with 2 players on Monday, within reason, who are they for you?

Mine w/projected AAV:
WR - Rashid Shaheed $14/AAV - Perfect 3rd WR for us and elite returner. Helps ALOT that it also takes away from the shecocks.
CB - Jaylen Watson $12.4/AAV- between him and Dean I went with youth. I'd be thrilled with either

Runner up: Devin Lloyd but hes well outpriced for us IMO ($20m/AAV).

FYI - Tutu's projected AAV is 2.2m.....

I wanted to sign Watson and save our picks. He certainly would have come at a cheaper price than MCD, but I’m cool with how it worked out. I think the Rams pass on another big contract in he secondary.

Rasheed? I’m ambivalent because I would like a returner like him, but there is just so much talent at WR in this draft that it doesn’t make sense. Why would I pay FA $$ for a WR3 when I can draft one who will end up being better? A replacement for Adams is somewhere in this draft.

The following Rams positions are up for grabs:
-CB2
-ILB2
-NT2
-WR2 (DAdams is a great possession/red zone weapon but he’s on a pitch count)
-OC (I know McVay likely disagrees but I can dream).
I’d like 2 of these positions filled with quality players via FA. Then off to the Draft for the remainder.

No idea.
Not even sure if the team should participate in the first wave of this lackluster free agency class.

Maybe towards the middle or end of the week they pick up a veteran CB like Benjamin St-Juste or Chidobe Awuzie and then wait for the 3rd wave of free agency looking for vet looking to sign for close to the league minimum for a chance to get a ring???

It may not be free agency, but I would love to trade a 2027 fourth for Dontayvion Wicks. Packers have a lot of receivers as it is, and Wicks is lost in the crunch.

I want to see what he can do with us; people say he’s like a mini Davante.

I really think WR ends up being taken care of with one of our first three picks.

CB2 and ILB would finish our defense but....unlikely with Landman and McDuffie that we have another big contract.....feels like both of those will probably be picks.

I would be surprised if we do anything in FA beyond re-signing Jimmy or another backup QB, and then a cheap vet CB

I don't get the sense that we'll be big players in FA. But I could see us signing a player who has upside to a prove it deal. Maybe MJ Emerson, the CB, from the Browns? He missed the entire 2025 season with an injury, but he was a promising player before that. Could also go after one of the speedy ILBs on the market. Nakobe Dean could be an interesting option at ILB.

EDIT: Rasul Douglas is also a vet CB who fits our scheme well. We could get him on a short-term deal at a reasonable price.

I don't really see any interest in the higher value FAs, I could see a couple swings at the mid tier like Curl and Parkinson in 2024 or Poona and Shelton in 2025. Kyler Murray as a backup for the vet minimum is another possibility as well.

The primary focus should be on nailing this upcoming draft and extending guys already on the roster.

I think someone is going to pay Kyler to start, be it miami, Vikings, or open competition on the Browns…

Kyler is going to be getting his 36M from the Cards no matter what and obviously nobody is going to pay more than that so the expectation is that he will be signing for the league minimum, similar to when we signed Baker in 2022.

Kyler's choice now is if he wants to play for a bad team to get a chance as a starter next year and solidify his legacy as a loser or play for his biggest supporter since he joined the league in Kingsbury and take some time to learn, get healthy, and play his video games while riding the bench, with the chance to take over for what is likely the most desired position in the league playing under McVay if Stafford decides to retire after this year.

Even if Kyler Murray is released and becomes a free agent in 2026, he is set to make $36.8 million in guaranteed money for the 2026 season.

Add a swing tackle and I agree 100% with your list.

Correct, but if someone pays him starter money, he’d be stupid not to take it on top of his $36.8. At this point, he may never get an opportunity to start again and this could be his last potential decent contract. This is the year to cash in with several QB needy teams and really no true options in the draft

That’s not the way it works. New team would have to pay him north of $36.8 - that’s when it starts to come out of their pocket. Which isn’t happening

I believe if he gets $10M from a new team, it just subtracts from that $38M. So he will make no more money than $38M unless a team wants to pay him more than $38M
