Doubt McVay would block anybody, just seems out of what we know about him. Also not surprised about Ted Thompson he's another GM I've thought was over rated for a long time. That's a team with a handful of good players carried by a couple of great players. No depth, he won't sign quality in free agency and misses on way too many draft picks.

And in a second move, Ted Thompson is out at GM. Which does not bode well for Mike McCarthy's future unless something good happens next year.

Packers need a lot of pieces. Rogers covers up a lot of their weaknesses in personnel.

McCarthy's gonna have another bad team next year unless the new GM goes in there and retools that defensive roster with an epic overhaul offseason plus adds a top DC. And it's not like their offense doesn't have needs too. IMO they're gonna need a couple offseasons which means McCarthy will probably get axed next year and be the second coach to take the fall for their roster quality.

Your Vikes should rule the division for at least a couple more years IMO.

Well after a team wins a Super Bowl, other teams wanna reach out and touch success by grabbing assistants.

It's a cross we'll just have to bear....:yess:

What's funny is the Rams can't really be plundered. Nobody is going to hire Wade as HC, since he's over all that business. And McVay is the offensive mind on our staff, so hiring our OC away to a HC position doesn't hurt us like it does most other teams.

Look at the Eagles. They're gonna lose Schwartz almost for sure, and there's rumblings that Reich might get an interview too. Reich is extremely sharp and I'm sure would interview very well. It's possible they end up needing to rehire both coordinator positions.

Rams staff structure is extremely strong for longevity purposes.

And the best news of the off season. People are saying John Clayton, squawk homer, and Brock Huard are on local radio in Seattle saying Petey will not replace Bevell or Cable. Congrats Aaron Donald and company.

Some names that I think will almost certainly fill HC positions this year:

1. McDaniels. It's past due, and the stink from his Denver tantrums has dissipated enough now I think.

2. Vrabel. I don't think he's ready, don't like his production this year in Houston either, but he has a strong presence to him and I think he's gonna interview very well.

3. Nagy. Everyone is talking about him going to the Colts, which is very possible. Reid has really talked him up and the Chiefs' offensive production not to mention Alex Smith's career year are very much in his favor.

4. Haley. Like with McDaniels it's past time he got another shot after his failure in KC. His production in Pittsburgh came with top pieces, but he also brought a great passing game out of them as well.

I hope he gets an NFC West HC gig... he is NOT that good.

Remember when he was OC for the Rams and insisted on long developing, 7 step drop plays and it got Bradford killed?

My son is a HUGE NE fan and he says it all the time... McDaniels, without Brady, is mediocre at best.

Brady makes McDaniel... not the other way around. AZ would be a good place for him. :sneaky:

Once upon a time, I was hoping Gruden would take the Rams job. In hindsight, he should have...lol. He blew that chance!
