A former NFL wide receiver was arrested in Arkansas this week, and faces second degree battery charges.

According to KHBS, former Arkansas product Damian Williams turned himself in to the Washington County Jail after an arrest warrant was issued for him.

The 29-year-old Williams was involved in an incident in Fayetteville last October, for which the police report read that he “recklessly causes physical injury to another person while operating or in actual physical control of a motor vehicle or motorboat if at the time the person is intoxicated.”

Williams transferred to Southern Cal, and was drafted in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Titans. He also played for the Dolphins and Rams, with knee problems derailing a promising start.

Cowboys’ Terrance Williams arrested

Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams was arrested early this morning.

The Star-Telegram reports that police responded to a call of a vehicle accident at 4:45 a.m. near the Cowboys’ headquarters and found a 2017 Lamborghini had struck a light pole, and the driver had fled the scene.

Police ran the plate and found that the Lamborghini was registered to Williams. Police later located him riding an electric bicycle in a roadway, and when they stopped him they arrested him for public intoxication. The traffic accident is still being investigated and Williams has not been charged for that.

Williams is currently not practicing during the Cowboys’ offseason program as he recovers from a foot injury.

So Horton then entered the house

Wow, that takes a special combination of stupidity and balls.

Um... MIKE FLORIO. Need I say more? If he did it I have no simpathy but for that douche to bring it up and start this crap with no proof regarding a case that was dismissed over two decades ago is....welp... Mike freaking Florio.

The case was dismissed because the woman was not willing to undergo the process of a trial and take the stand. And that happens. The DA was going to go ahead with the case until then and it was dismissed because of that. I think that's why the NFL is looking into it, because if someone gets the story that there was evidence of assault and that Patricia is lying they HAVE to have the word out that they are looking into it. And if the DA was going to trial there had to be something.

If they ignore it and info comes to light this will be a really big PR hit, as big as the Ray Rice video.

It'll be worth watching.

Contract apparently banned parties. He threw 3. He's going down, deservedly so, if the owner is telling the truth. Probably be banned from airbnb too.

I'm sure there is plenty of video and photographic evidence. JManziel did the same thing to a house in CA and denied it but the pictures told another story. He, Josh Gordon and some dbag friend, probably his super-duper-dbag friend Bieber trashed the place.

Getting around an AirBNB ban can't be that hard to do.

My favorite part. So here's a guy who drives a Lamborghini, which has a base price of $200,000, and he stashes an electric bicycle in the trunk for his getaways. You can't make this stuff up.

“I am grateful that no one was injured in the accident,” Terrance Williams said in a statement. “The driver in front of me slammed on his brakes and I turned to the left and hopped the curb to avoid hitting him. I got his insurance information and my neighbor picked me up when my car wouldn’t drive.

I live right near where the accident occurred, so my neighbor dropped me off and I called a tow truck and took the scooter from my house to go meet the tow truck driver. The police officer, who I have met in the past in the neighborhood, saw me on the scooter and arrested me without performing any sobriety tests. I have always been an upstanding citizen and handled the situation the best way I know how. I apologize if I should have handled it a little bit differently.”

the other driver wouldn't even need to give him his details, he's not at fault for braking if that's the story williams is going with. williams is at fault for driving too close behind the other driver as he didn't leave enough space to brake safely. so i'm not buying it either.

and who leaves the scene of crash with their very expensive car involved? or any car? only people that don't want to be breath tested.

if he wanted to make it more realistic he should have said the other driver cut him off and he had to swerve to avoid contact and in doing so lost control and mounted the kerb straight into the pole.

I thought they said a Grand Jury was involved in moving it forward. Only one side gets to talk at Grand Jury trials. There's no defense there, so tons of cases make it past the Grand Jury then get shut down as soon as the defense gets involved.

I agree that the NFL has to say they're looking into it. What would have been telling is off a Grand Jury had shut the case down. If you can't convince people when there's no defense, you have absolutely no case at all. Obviously not what happened there, but an interesting side note nonetheless.

No punishment for Lions or Matt Patricia

Villains Wiki - Fandom

As far as the NFL is concerned, the matter of Matt Patricia’s past is closed.

The league has announced that it will not discipline either the Lions or Patricia, after a 1996 incident in which the head coach was accused of sexual assault.

Patricia denied any wrongdoing — at the time and recently when a public records search yielded the paperwork. And since the incident was well before he was involved in any NFL business, the league can’t punish him under the personal conduct policy.

Patricia didn’t reveal the information to the Lions (and he shouldn’t have), though there is a troubling aspect to a newspaper finding more things out with a public records search than a team does when hiring one of its highest-profile employees.

The league met with the Lions and Patricia last week to discuss the matter.

The case never went to trial, as the woman who made the accusation didn’t cooperate with prosecutors and testify against him.

Vols: John Kelly receives diversion for marijuana charge, Will Ignont charge to be dismissed
Blake Toppmeyer, USA TODAY Network - TennesseePublished 10:52 a.m. ET May 22, 2018 | Updated 11:03 a.m. ET May 22, 2018

Former Tennessee running back John Kelly entered a guilty plea Tuesday and received judicial diversion, settling his misdemeanor drug possession charge stemming from an Oct. 24 traffic stop.

Kelly must pay a $250 fine and court costs. If Kelly fulfills the terms of his judicial diversion agreement during a probationary period of 11 months and 29 days, the guilty plea will be expunged from his record.

Tennessee linebacker Will Ignont was the passenger in the car Kelly was driving and faced a charge of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Ignont, who also appeared in court Tuesday, received a pass disposition and will have his charge dismissed with court costs assessed.

Kelly and Ignont were suspended for the Kentucky game last season after Knoxville police said they found marijuana during a search of the vehicle following a traffic stop. Following the search, neither player claimed possession of the 4.6 grams of marijuana police say they found, along with a glass pipe, in the center console, according to an incident report.

The Los Angeles Rams selected Kelly last month in the sixth round of the NFL Draft. He decided to forgo his senior season at UT after rushing for 778 yards and tying for the team lead with 37 receptions as a junior.

With the Rams, Kelly is expected to contend for playing time behind starting running back Todd Gurley. The Rams opened organized team activities on Monday.

"John is a physical, violent, downhill runner. Did a lot of good things at Tennessee," Rams coach Sean McVay said at a news conference last week.

"We've got confidence in John. I think he's got a chance to earn a role based on the way he practices day in and day out."

Ignont, a sophomore, made six tackles in his first season with the Vols.

Jets linebacker hopes wrong-way tunnel DWI a wake-up call

Jets linebacker Dylan Donahue made the worst kinds of headlines this offseason, but he’s hoping they represent a starting point.

After being charged with DWI after driving the wrong way down the Lincoln Tunnel and crashing into a bus, the second-year linebacker said he hopes the event becomes a wake-up call.

It was very enlightening,” Donahue said, via Calvin Watkins of Newsday. “I went through a lot, and I had volunteered to go into inpatient treatment down in Jacksonville. I think it was a life-changing experience and very awakening this offseason.”

The 2017 fifth-rounder also had a previous drunk driving charge in Montana, and he volunteered to check himself into rehab. He also talked with former Jets tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins, who spent time in a rehab last offseason after his own issues.

“We were connected and he had nothing but good things to say and he actually helped out a lot,” Donahue said.

Donahue’s court case is still pending, and he’ll also be subject to punishment from the league. But he hopes he’s in a better position for the future after surviving his mistakes.
