Exactly. Not a very reassuring sign of elementary management competence. Can't blame it on the designer--there should or must have been many options. The Rams just picked the wrong ones.

And, by the way, why didn't they ask for fan input? It's obvious they could have gotten lots of feedback on, say, a dozen or so options.

Out of curiosity, how would you design the logo? Not that I want you to actually make one, but I mean what type of elements would you be looking to go for? If that's too much work, don't worry about it, I just have no design skill or really artistic knowledge, and don't really know what the best route to go is.

I’d do a stylized Ram head but make it meaner looking with sharper edges and using the new colors. I’d design the new font it would be paired with. Look, it all comes down to experience and talent. There are lots of tricks an experienced designer can use. The problem is when the client starts wanting to change too many things on the logo you just designed, then you are on a slippery slope to bad design. It’s the too many cooks in the kitchen thing. The logo is about the fan base and THEY are who it should appeal to, more then the non-football fan corporate executives. That’s why you don’t give it to Nike. Let the fans compete with ideas. Make it a huge competition. It’s great for marketing and PR. I would draw 50 thumbnails for this project. The key is knowing which 3 of the 50 you should refine for presentation.

They're going lighter and more saturated with the new blue. It's sees very close to Dodger blue. Kinda' like the middle one the best.

They're going lighter and more saturated with the new blue. It's sees very close to Dodger blue. Kinda' like the middle one the best.

Weird seeing it like this. I thought the new yellow was significantly more orange than the retro, but it looks very close.

Maybe a monitor issue?

I believe they are using a gradient of the new yellow because “sunsets” alm: that’s why you’re seeing slight orange in places iirc

I see it this way too....really disappointed with the blue...I am really hoping it does not have that neon silky looking color to it....really do not like the purple tone to it in the sunlight...

so the whole dark blue and yellow teased on that on therams.com site for months was just a troll? and AD's personal logo?

I like the new colors the best, just wish the logo matched how good they look... More worried about the jersey's now than before the logo, that's for sure, but I still have faith.

I think this logo looks good. But let's face it, even if this was the one, fans would've hated it and said the ram looks constipated, with the horns looking like the cheeks are cracked open.

Our new colors got a Golden State Warriors feel to is as well. Im good with the colors but was hoping for a bit darker. Think the logo would look better as well darker.
