That's not good for them. AFAIK, the Inglewood plan's financing is already out there.

Until they can show they can finance it, especially with politicians on record as wanting no more public funding for a stadium, it's just a pretty drawing.

That said, I agree it's very pretty and I'd have little to complain about if the Rams played there.

Well some stuff was said.

He mentioned extending the bonds from the EJ dome, as well as PSLs, and some private money. But it wasn't all laid out.

A question was asked about the cost of this stadium as opposed to the 700m for renovating the dome, and he said it was apples and oranges because that 700m was supposed to be all public money, and this project would require less money from the public.

it was apples to oranges because of the solutions - renovating vs a new stadium/leasing out the dome for other events is a better use of public money

The way he explained it, it seems like it would be a net gain to the area to have the new stadium. opening the dome year round to conventions, plus NFL and MLS revenues. The only thing I'm worried about is Superbowls.

It makes Bush Stadium look somewhat uninteresting with the river front view and all.

Can you imagine how many more fans this will draw? You can't get this at home.

maybe by the time this new stadium is ready, I will be in the position to buy some PSLs and go to more than one game a year.

Sounds like it's open air for purposes of having an MLS team. Still, they could've covered the stands to keep the fans sheltered.

Overall the designs don't stand out for me but the parking does and if it achieves the aim of keeping the Rams, then it gets a thumbs up from me.

Right - especially since it's an area that previously is blighted, or isn't bringing much in.. I think it's the best win/win.

Only thing I don't like is the stadium capacity - was kinda hopin for something around 70,000 or more... this one is actually smaller than the EJD (EJD is 66k, they said this is 64k)

STL will never get a Superbowl, with or without a covered stadium due to hotel rooms proximity and bias for warmer weather venues! Too bad too, since the cash generated from it is impressive!
