Swift is a true stud, no doubt. Sadly no chance he's available @ 52 as we know. As much as I do love this kid we can't afford to trade up for him IMHO

I would like to get the Lber/Edge areas upgraded.

It a bit conflicting deciding on the best fit for the Rams. It could be one or two depending on availability and the Rams trading down. They need one that can go play the middle, stop the run, blitz, and cover. Floyd is an option to play inside more which could change the Rams approach. Of course, Queen and Murray could drop but, not that far. I'm not sure if Baun is suited for the middle and in coverage.
Okwara has a big upside as a pass rusher off the edge.

Uche-Quick with pass-rush ability.

Wilson-Instinctive wrapup tackler that can play three downs

Brooks-Defensive QB downhill tackler

Julian Okwara-pass rusher that can grow as a standup OLber

Rams can go in a number of directions early in the draft. It would not upset me if they got an OC they really liked or a WR. I like Chase Claypool too. I think they can wait on a RB but, not too long.

DeAndre Swift!

I cannot see it, but there are not many (any?) teams looking hard at RB early. There are 4 players who might go first RB, so I can wish on a star

Mims would be next up

I know OL might be more important but I’ve never jumped out of my seat for a clean block (well maybe once or twice)

I HOPE Josh Jones is our first pick in the 2nd...but I doubt he'll be there so Uche is my number 2 (assuming he's even there)...

I know I will be the only one who picks this player and will get blasted for naming him but I hope the Rams pick RB Cam Akers! I just think he is going to have a great NFL Career for some NFL Team and it might as well be the Rams! I think his college career could had been even a lot better but his team and his offensive line did not help him! And, I do realize the Rams need some OL help but hopefully they can get that later in the draft as well as through Free Agency (I am also one of those crazy Rams Fans that that think some of the Rams young Offensive Linemen will play a lot better this season thanks to getting some experience last season!).
I am also hoping the Rams get a MLB (Jordyn Brooks, Malik Harrison, Logan Wilson, Troy Dye, etc) somewhere in this draft. And, if the Rams can add a Center (Biadasz, Cushenberry, etc) in this draft I will be a Very Happy Rams Fan!

My hopes would be Mims, A.J. Dillon or Edwards-Helaire.

But this is how my mock broke for the Rams:

52. Matt Hennessy C TEMPLE
57. D'Andre Swift RB GEORGIA
84. Tipa Galeai OLB/EDGE UTAH STATE
104. Broderick Washington, Jr. DT TEXAS TECH
126. Khalid Kareem DE NOTRE DAME
199. Xavier Jones RB SMU
234. Sage Lewis OLB FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL

Not counting players who stand no chance of falling that far (like Andrew Thomas), I choose Zach Baun.

Interesting Boni... But WHO would you want? Let's hear it dude!!!
Yea what about that:unsure:.

The purpose of the moving up in the 2nd round is obvious........try to secure one of those Year 1 quality starters that has fallen out of the first round due to the hyper activity ongoing for the QB's & OT's, not because they are not first round grades. Moving up 22 or 18 selections early Friday afternoon would be one serious success.

It's not who do I want, but whom. If Snead was by some act or trade of either Havenstein or Everett able to move up into the 30s then here's the 4 prospects I favor:

LB Kenneth Murray
RB Clyde Edwards Helaire
LT Josh Jones
LB Zack Baun

If our first selection remains the same @#52 then my top two picks pick would be either LB Josh Uche or OC Lloyd Cushenberry. Uche just has the look of what our new DC is looking to add to this 2020 Ram defense. But he has risk to him....:cautious: Cushenberry is a much safer pick & goes with being real smart in keeping Goff unmolested.

Cushenberry or Hennessey
Usche (or Akers) [Brooks or Lewis if TradeDown]
Hunt
Moss (or Lewis)
CB late
WR late
S late

I’ll go with one guy that has a chance to fall to us.

Zach Baun!

I’d love to see him in the horns! He’d probably be BPA at that point to and a position of need.

Im listening I like that idea more them unloading him for a 4th or 5th as some posters have stated. I would have been better but maybe you guys are better at compensation.

So who would you take at 35 or 37 it really opens up a lot.

ILB - For me there are not many u want at those slots other than Murray or Queens as LBs if somehow they drop but I doubt it.

C - Ruiz if he is heads and tails above the next best which I believe is Cushenberry. Not sure Ruiz is better originally when drafting was beginning Ruiz was between 3-6th best.

G - no

T - no because already at least 5 will be off the board so are we really getting someonew

RBs - not sure any I like Taylor but has a lot of mileage to go with his massive production.
I think Helaire maybe at 52.

OlB - like Baun but he really is I think a 4-3 DE. No one here.

CB/S - No CB and only if McKinney slips, but unfortunately we would be sacrificing a real need at RB, ULB, OLB, C.

WR - none I would not take one at all except someone who is a great punt returner and our 6th wr later in the draft.

QB - I would consider taking Jalen Hurt and I know you will all say I am going against my philosophy and we don't need a QB. But guys I really love this guy he is being totally overshadowed in this draft by all the other QBs he is a super winner ran for 20 TDs. Worst we have an amazing BU if Goff goes down. Or maybe we hold onto him develop him and get a late first rounder in a couple years. Or we trade him for a a nice draft capital, because we definitely screwed up some teams plans.

To me I love your thought we still own another 2nd, but unless someone falls like Ruiz, Queens or Murray I feel we are in no mans land.

Love to hear your thoughts.
Utilizing your under contract starting RT Havenstein (Bargain-priced under $4 million for 2020 services to the team that gets him) or your 2nd string TE Everett as trade fodder to move up to pick much earlier on Friday afternoon is a much superior use of your teams assets than just trading them off for a third day draft selection IMO.

There is very little cap savings in moving either of these Rams. Most likely both go to a team as highly probable starters....that's worth something. So the Rams have some real ammo here...don't waste it maximize it. I would rather keep them on the roster than to just dump them off for a 3rd day draft :poop::poop: selections i.e. John Franklin-Myers or Pharoh Cooper or Brian Allen or Andrew Donnel. :hellno:.

The best part is @jrry32 will lose his MFing mind if Baun gets anywhere near our draft spot. :ROFLMAO: :horns:

Austin Jackson, USC, OT. Huge upside, great kid, just needs a little polish, and to continue to get stronger. No question to me, he’d end up being our starting OLT for a long time.

He’d be my guy, in he’s available.

I’d be happy with Cam Akers, and my sleeper would be Jeremy Chinn, maybe after slight trade downs.

I don’t love how this draft lines up for us, need wise, early on.

edited to add names.

Count me in if Baun fell, would be where BPA = BPN. Not holding my breath.
