Have heard this, not confirmed.Who said that's what it took?
I’m saying IF that happened.

Crap. I was looking for a good interweb fight.Adding, sorry for the confusion.
I posted Vincents comments earlier in this thread if you'd like to see what he says about them making the decision to not resume the game. Unless you really fall into the category of people you quoted me saying exist before that is.Have heard this, not confirmed.
I’m saying IF that happened.
Isn't this a "When did you decide to stop beating your wife?" type of argument? I haven't heard that this was done or even considered. We don't have to try to provide evil motivations as if we have the need to point blame. If it actually took a vote by players to stop the game from being started back up, the NFL will deserve all the shit in the world.

Pretty much what Mark Schlereth said on the radio today. That hit happens hundreds of times ever weekend in college and pro football and we've never seen this before.Pretty much the peeps I have talked to, including two family members who are physicians who were watching the game, this truly is just a freak accident.
They both agreed unless there are unknown congenital issues, which these guys are checked over so thoroughly they found it highly unlikely, it looks like Commotio cordis.
At the time they also talked about a possible torn artery or aorta for example. They both believe there certainly would have been news of surgery if that was the case.
Evidently there is no news to share because of the induced coma to cool the body to prevent any brain damage. That is suppose to last around 24 hours. Then they will bring Damar out of the coma to consciousness to determine cognitive issues. They said their prognoses is most recover fully from this. As dramatic as it looks.
Color me cautiously optimistic we could see this young man play again. I really had thought the worse last night. Had a hard time sleeping. Really didn't.
Because that is the NFL standard policy for after a player injury. As has been said multiple times so many that you'd think people would have heard this already. But while this was going on Vincent and Goodell were making the decision on how to proceed because this isn't your standard incident it has never happened before you can't have a policy that's effective to cover something that has never happened. So those two who are in charge were making the decision on what to do as the officials were communicating the standard operating procedure that ESPN and all the NFL's broadcast partners already know is the standard policy. No, it’s not that.
Sorry, but it’s completely fair to question the NFL. I’m not assuming this happened, just noting it’s out there.
As for the Vincent thing, @OldSchool …. Espn has come out with a statement saying they were consistently told there would be a five minute warmup and play would resume. Until that changed.
You’ll note…. I’m not saying it’s what happened… and I’m not suggesting the delay gives more weight to the reports it happened.Because that is the NFL standard policy for after a player injury. As has been said multiple times so many that you'd think people would have heard this already. Nah just feeding the hate by repeating wrong info I get it instead of telling people what happened we'll tell them what didn't happen that sounds like a good thing to do.You’ll note…. I’m not saying it’s what happened… and I’m not suggesting the delay gives more weight to the reports it happened.
I’m saying that there’s word out there that this is what happened.. that players said no way.
I’m saying if… IF that turns out to be true, then they deserve to catch shit.
They're very easy to use as well.Crap. I was looking for a good interweb fight.
I remember when AED's first came out. It has saved so many lives I would not even begin to guess.
Sure hope they are right. Let's all just think positive thoughts for the young man. Get well Damar.Pretty much the peeps I have talked to, including two family members who are physicians who were watching the game, this truly is just a freak accident.

Yeah, me tooSure hope they are right. Let's all just think positive thoughts for the young man. Get well Damar.
I also posted that video by Dr Brian Sutterer who shows what likely happened... chest hit at a very specific time in the cardiac sine wave... likely what caused the arrhythmia and subsequent heart attack.I was told by a friend that a hit to the chest exactly when the heart has an electrical pulse can cause Arrhythmia.
I wonder if this was what happen to him.
I just hope he is able to recover fully.
All concern is for this kid but the world turns and the Bills have a game with New England Sunday. How in the hell can they be expected to get ready and play that game? I don't know. I think the only way things change in a hurry is if Hamlin is conscious and responding to treatment. And from what I've heard so far today, that might not be until Thursday or Friday, if that early.
