Mevis named starting Kicker, Karty sits

A good scenario for this game: Rams win 30-7, Mevis kicks 3 FGs from 45-55, Rams score 3 red zone TDs with 3 XPs. All kicks SDTM (straight down the middle - a borrowed term from pinball).

Mevis should be far more confident than Karty as he made 20/21 FG's in the UFL only missing from 63 yards and just beat out Rodrigo Blankenship, another top UFL kicker & Karty in a competition.

Look I was all for drafting Karty, but you cannot miss 39 yard FG's that is unacceptable. Do I believe Blackburn needs to be replaced? Yes, but it is not because of Blackburn that Karty badly missed an extra point and the 39 yarder against the Saints.

Yes, it is the coaches fault in that, because of the overall FG unit letting defenders in to block kicks so frequently that it fucks with the mind of the kicker. I also find it disturbing that thru the FG kicking process's failures that Karty couldn't keep his shit together. If he is doing everything correct and it is on the people around him, then he should just keep doing what he is doing without it causing him to loose his confidence. So in a way you are correct. Karty is a head case, but what started it all was the coaches fault.

I agree Blackburn needs to go, but this is what we have.

Mevis looks more like a curveball kicker in his highlights. Nothing really straight about 'em. But I'll take them bouncing over as long as he makes them!
