Yeah, if they move on, we just gotta hope they nail their future QB and if they they do, a big IF, they would be in great shape going forward. In 2026 as of right now $90M in cap space. If they move on from Stafford this year you can add $50M more to that. Trading Kupp and taking the entire hit this year, add another $30M.
So they would have a ridiculous amount of cap room to not only extend their own stars, but to go shopping for more help in FA or via trades etc...
Plus, knowing that in terms of extra cap room, you can forfeit a ton of draft picks to go target a QB on the draft. Maybe even taking a few swings.
Let's say they are intrigued by Dart and they use a 3rd to move up in rd 1 this year and take him. Maybe by 26' they are not sold on him and so in next year's draft they can go get another young QB because they will have a ton of cap space to fill their needs.
If they can hit on a QB like Dart or Shough even, they are in great shape be dominant for years from a total roster perspective.
BTW a good video by McShay on Shough and Dart... by the way he mentions that he would love to see either of these guys with McVay.... He also dives into the RBs
