For the first time I am thinking he may be gone.Yeah he has. If he's trying to ask for top dollar (highest paid type shit) because of respect and put the Rams in a financial bind, by all means fuck him. It's pure greed and ego at that point. This is off of spotrac. Like I said, pure fuckin greed. If you can't live off of that, you're a fucking dumb ass person with finances.

Daniel Jeremiah was discussing with Bucky Brooks whether it is important to be solid on both sides of the ball or great on one side of the ball. He said he has always felt and agreed with ( I forgot who he mentioned) ... that he would always prefer to be great on one side of the ball.
Now, I mention this here because with the jump start they have on a young defense, I could see McVay thinking that he can build a dominant D, especially with extra picks from a trade of Stafford and maybe something from Kupp, and the extra cap room that will come in 26'. Plus, be able to build around another QB on offense.
So this year you can add FAs with back-loaded contracts, so once Stafford and Kuop are off the books, you can absorb those deals, and you go with Jimmy G for a year or two while you groom a kid, or until some other QB option becomes available.
So you can win with a loaded roster, even if the QB is only avg. and playing in his scheme. Look at the Eagles. Hurts did very little in the playoffs and only had a so so year, yet they are 14-3 and in the SB with a moron HC.
What would McVay do with a loaded roster and a solid QB in his offense?
He has watched SF & Philly reach to the last 3 SBs with non first round QBs who are guys that are not HOF caliber QBs.
